Nice collection, dude! You're going to make me go dig up my NES collection and post a pic :)

I'd love to see it. I do kind of miss my retro collection. I used to have a collection from like 25 years worth of gaming. But when my dad got a terminal illness a few years ago, we took the decision to sell it all so that he could use the money to pay to do things with my mum while he was still able to, it also helped to pay for my wedding, so now it's kind of going back to square one lol. Do still have  alot of older consoles etc, but with how good emulation has become and all the constant re-releases on PSN etc, I don't think I'll bother going back into the older stuff. Sadly dad passed away 3 months ago, but hey, at least it paid for quite a few holidays etc. for them to make the most of the time they had.

I'll have to see if I can find any pics from when the collection was at it's peak. But I do have a soft spot for Nintendo, it's the gaming I grew up with :)

The Vita has become my guilty pleasure from a collecting perspective right now. It's issue of "no games" makes it a perfect one for a completist thing :D add in that most the games are actually decent and I think it's my next Dreamcast :D

I'll send my kids digging in the garage this afternoon and see what they can find for me. Sorry to hear about your dad. I couldn't even imagine losing my dad. I wouldn't have anyone to get drunk with and watch football. Pretty cool you sold of some of your collection to make his last days better. You must have had some pretty awesome stuff!

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."
