Why can't I get deals like that in my country!?!? T^T

Because there's demand for the product in your country.

WiiU bombed hardcore in UK so this is not surprising. Here in Canada, Nintendo games are very rarely discounted.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

I find it interesting that these threads are almost always started by someone with a pro Playstation signature.  What's wrong, bored because you don't have anything new to play?

If you show me where I can get a signature that also reflects the Wii U and 3DS games I play please link me.

I think you'll find my Wii U collection is far bigger than my PS4 collection (even more so having bought these Wii U titles and recently sold AC4 on PS4) for obvious reasons and I also have 2 LE 3DS systems. This is my current 8th gen collection:

Though I've now added a couple more 3DS titles.

I find it interesting that it's impossible to voice concern about anything Nintendo related without someone accusing you of being a fanboy of a particular brand and being bored from having nothing to play. I'm sure you can see I already have plenty to play. It's just an observation I have made having been gaming for nearly 30 years. Most of that time spent on Nintendo software. It's a shame I can't link to my club nintendo account to show you just how much money Nintendo have had from me over the past decade.

I turned into jelly after seeing that. T.T

Nice collection, dude! You're going to make me go dig up my NES collection and post a pic :)

I'd love to see it. I do kind of miss my retro collection. I used to have a collection from like 25 years worth of gaming. But when my dad got a terminal illness a few years ago, we took the decision to sell it all so that he could use the money to pay to do things with my mum while he was still able to, it also helped to pay for my wedding, so now it's kind of going back to square one lol. Do still have  alot of older consoles etc, but with how good emulation has become and all the constant re-releases on PSN etc, I don't think I'll bother going back into the older stuff. Sadly dad passed away 3 months ago, but hey, at least it paid for quite a few holidays etc. for them to make the most of the time they had.

I'll have to see if I can find any pics from when the collection was at it's peak. But I do have a soft spot for Nintendo, it's the gaming I grew up with :)

The Vita has become my guilty pleasure from a collecting perspective right now. It's issue of "no games" makes it a perfect one for a completist thing :D add in that most the games are actually decent and I think it's my next Dreamcast :D

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

The Wii U is indeed a lost cause and we already talked about it a hundred times in the countless "Wii U is doomed" threads.

Hooray for you though, you found that game at half the price in a sale. that must mean prices of all Nintendo games are going down right? Specially if the retailer from your neighborhood is the one doing it since that is the center of the universe.

So you believe it's just a Wii U thing, and normality for Nintendo pricing will be restored once Nintendo release their next system and their games will hold their full prices again?

Note that this thread also cites multiple other nationwide retailers who have also reduced donkey kong similarly. Not that Toukiden/Sorcery Saga/Ys: Memories of Celceta still cost full price on Vita, whose software sales are even worse than Wii Us so far in the UK in 2014.

You do realise that this did not happen with the GameCube right? Super Mario Sunshine etc all held their retail prices for much of the lifespan of the system, despite the GCN actually faring as bad, if not worse from a hardware sales perspective as the Wii U currently is in the UK.

The threads you refer to, talk purely about hardware, I'm not interested in that, I believe a system can still be perfectly viable without being anywhere near market leader, so long as there is a market for the software. At the moment, it's looking like there isn't even a market for software on Wii U.

The whole dismissive approach of your post, is just as bad as the opposite types of posts. There is a new trend here and it's getting lost under the fanboy tit for tat nonsense.

Are there citations? I didn't bother reading the whole thread, I thought those kind of things where more fitting to put on the OP.

I know what this thread is though, it's a clear copy from rol's thread. Only it's done with anecdotal evidence instead of real evidence.

If you where trying to be serious.. well that's even more funny. The timing of your thread is what gives it away though, you posted this thread exactly a couple of hours after his thread and even use part of his title thread in yours.

Also on a working conditions standpoint:

Thank you very much, I did not know this.

I am an active member of my Union and should at least have suspected that it was to good to be whitout problems.

In fairness, this is one retailer in the UK. I could find one retailer in the US doing this. The Wii U is chugging along in sales in most countries at this point. The UK particularly though is a black spot for the Wii as it is missing the golden games from the UK Fifa and the COD/FPS clones.

Also of note is the fact that when i lived in Ireland which is close to the UK I bought a gamecube because I could get games for dirt cheap for it. Nintendo was always the lesser company in certain countries.

smash and mk8 are the last hope.
but i think it wont change the things so much.

The wording is taken from Rol's thread, which I actually loved for the record. However I was originally planning posting this at the weekend when I got the games as I was in utter shock seeing DK reduced. (I wasn't planning buying it until I had finished 3D World and Sonic Lost World)

If you want to continue to believe someone who has owned pretty much every console and still goes completely multi format has an ulterior agenda for Sony, fair enough. That's your own paranoia and whatever helps you sleep at night. But given I pre ordered a Wii U premium system, and I don't know if you can see, but also paid full retail (£44.99) for Zombi U. I really don't see why I would take actual pleasure in seeing one of my consoles crash and burn.

I guess it's difficult for people who are only able to champion a single system to understand that some people actually love gaming rather than console wars and there isn't always an ulterior motive.

ehm u dont discount new games because u want to move em OUT of the shop, u discount em to lure people INTO ur shop...
