Yea GC controller here too, fun races we had wasamaru ^_^ .....damnit 1 disconnection and i'm back down to 7789 again grrrrr

GC controller/Wiimote+nunchuck seem to be the 'best' controllers, if you want to be fast.

The disconnects are really annoying indeed. If you are with 12 players and you disconnect for some unknown reason during a race, you lose 100-300 point

Weird, disconnection gave me points instead of taking them away, the race was about to start and i got disconnected at the beginning and I was at first place at that time and I was awarded the points as if I finished the race at first place.

I sometimes got that one too. You are 1st, and when you move on to next race, you instant disconnect.

But you can also suddenly disconnect during the race. You don't end up 1st, but you get the message 'you were disconnected from the other players'.

You lose points if it is you who are the cause of the disconnection (ie your network disconnects) while if it is a problem with either the servers or the other players (rare) you earn points.

Sometimes, I disconnect during a race. When I click on 'worldwide' again to play some more, I lost points, but I can go on racing easily..

Yes, but remember that problems with your connection can last for 10 seconds only, enough to DC you, but not enough for anything else.

How exactly do you get a star rank online ? Do you have to get star ranks in all 150cc maps mode offline first? Or do you just have to get a star rank on your license ?

That means I have 2 stars at least in all offline races. 1 would be 1 in all offline races.
