Part of the fun is having preferences and debating on what platform is the best as each and every platform has some advantage over the other.

I am a Playstation guy but I do think it would be cool to play a game such as Terraria on the Xbox One while listening to South Park =P

Oh no, debate is absolutely fine when it is backed up by logic, it is the mindless bickering that is awful.

I'm also a PlayStation guy, at least I am this generation (had the 360 last-gen), but I cannot wait to see the first footage of Crackdown. I loved the first game, it was so much fun to play! Also looking forward to inFAMOUS and Dynasty Warriors, although I think I have to wait a little longer for the latter as it releases in April in Europe.

Yeah, I try not to get pulled in the mindless bickering. It is pointless. I have never played Crackdown what is it about is it fun? I would not mind an excuse to get an Xbox One. I have no interest in Kinect and 500$ is more than I am willing to pay for it though

I will do something like my friend did, he bought an Xbox One off ebay without Kinect for 200$!

That's a bargain. I'm not really interested in getting an Xbox at all myself, but I won't deny the games that I think look good as that would just be daft!

Crackdown is an open-world sandbox game where you are an "agent" with super-abilities such as being able to run really quick, jump really far, hit really hard etcetera. It is probably best to watch a YouTube video as I don't think my description would do it justice. It is basically all about having fun though.

I can not contain my excitement for inFamous Second Son and it's even better knowing I don't have work that day so I can play it all day!

Haha, I can't wait to discover the unannounced abilities and am so glad Sucker Punch have decided to keep them hidden, plus I want to see what is going on behind their spoiler filter during the Neon Karma Bomb, it looks incredible!

I support the sterilization of fanboys as a start. Got to clean up the gene pool some.

It is the way it will always be OP. The celebration of senseless and unrewarded loyalty to a corporation because they decided to give them money for a product. The celebration of limiting ones gaming options.

I agree, but that shouldn't mean that those of us with a little more sense shouldn't be allowed to chat somewhere free from their mindless bickering. Don't you agree?

Try your best to avoid those threads, but hey its the internet, anything goes. This is a gaming website, its gonna happen like if it was a sports site with different teams, same things in those forums, maybe worse. If you want something more focused, try xbox.com, or psblogs forums. There are places that specialize in a particular brand. I love gaming and though I may disagree on how some companies handle their products because I do want all of them to do well will get me a ban every once in awhile, but hey its sometimes worth it. Also dont let someone troll you into a long ass debate, thats another thing to help keep alittle sanity.

This thread can't work.

So I have only been here a relatively short time and I have noticed a few trends.

Firstly, the PlayStation Nation and Xbox One Nation threads are often full of people talking about the opposite console and the fans of those consoles, go figure.

Next, there is a lot of bickering in individual threads regarding the big three, although it seems that is mainly focused around Microsoft and Sony.

Finally, there are A LOT of review comparisons. A game that scores an 80 on metacritic is not vastly inferior to a game that scores a 90, as at the end of the day that score comes from the individual opinions of reviewers. I played Knack and thoroughly enjoyed it, and that is the only "measure" or "score" that I need. I do want to add though that predicting the Metacritic score is very good fun.

So those are the trends, and this is how I want to stop them. This thread is to be dedicated to games on any and every platform, be it mobile (yes, I said mobile!), Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC, Mac, or even Ouya. In this thread we will discuss games that are on the horizon, games we are hoping will be announced, games we used to love, games we still love, just anything and everything related to the hobby we love! By posting in this thread you agree to put all bias aside, and if you fail to do so you will be reported.

So, who's up for a good old discussion about gaming?

You do not know what the word "bias" means. If we put all bias aside we CAN'T talk about games we love etc. because what we love is based on our biases. You fail at understanding the English language. Shame on you :P

That said, a good old discussion about gaming... definitely a good idea.

I want to rave about a few thing, and there's a few great things I want to gush about so to keep this in the positive, here we go:

1. The PS Vita is awesome. I love this thing, it's a beautiful screen, it has comfortable controls, it's an indie game powerhouse, it has fantastic PS2 remakes and all the PSOne classics on PSN, and it's few exclusive games are genuinely brilliant. I love my Vita it's quickly becoming my favourite gaming system and all I want to do is gush over it. The Vita is making me love portable gaming more and more.

2. I'm loving DmC: Devil May Cry right now and I find it's art style and depiction of "limbo" to be really evocative so much so that it's inspiring me to write for my Shadowrun tabletop RPG. I've adapted the magic system to accomodate the style of DmC and it's added so much flavour. Add in a subtext and political message that I really identify with and DmC is a game I'm really growing attached to.

3. Super Mario 3D World is fantastic. It's the game that makes me feel like a kid again and it deserves to be a best seller. It's a perfect contrast to DmC and it makes my mood improve instantly as soon as I switch it on. The thing I like the most shockingly is the graphics. The game is beautiful and vibrant without being over the top. It genuinely feels happy to play because of this.

I don't know I don't see many people talk about the PS4 very much in the Xbox Nation thread. When it is brought up it's usually positive talk though.
