So they are basically forming a PR group to help spread some love for PC gaming? Interesting.

holy crap, this is amazing. What a powerful group though. I pray Microsoft doesnt push Windows Live with this. =/

How bad was PC gaming that this was necessary? I'm not big into PC gaming, so I don't know as much as I should.

I think it'd be a pretty "smart" move (maybe not as smart as it seems... probably just an entirely illogical dream) for Nintendo (or any other gaming software company, of course, but I just prefer Nintendo... go retro, ja?) to develop a specialized OS specifically designed for gaming, complete with optimized resource usage for optimal gaming specs.

With PC gaming possibly on the rise again, that could be an excellent motion. Hardcore gamers would scramble for dualboxing with an OS that caters to videogamers, especially if it's easier to use than Linux and more compatible with Windows software/drivers/etc.

Knowing Microsoft, they'd even be willing to work with Nintendo to combine efforts on it - Windows Nintendo? Doubt Ninty would be willing to share it with Microsoft, as long as M$ is in the console business.

Ugh... without Steam this new thing is dead in the water. Steam is the way to go, having Microsoft on board will only ruin PC gaming even more. Their Live for Windows sucks ass.
