Gt6, Gt5 has no advantages over 6.

Aren't they supposed to stop the online for GT5. I'd go GT6.

nvm I read your comment wrong.

I recommend to buy 6, online servers for GT5 are closing in May I think.

GT6 has online, GT6 has more cars, and GT6 has the same plus more tracks. GT6 is the logical choice.

No more online services for GT5 so you have no other option but to buy GT6! Unless you like playing GT offline!

Doesn't GT5 perform better in terms of framerate?

The driving/suspension physics are also more accurate in GT6 than GT5.

I 2nd that GT6 is the one to get. Even though the costs could be double or greater, it is imho the best console racing sim available currently on the market.

Hi friends, it's padib.

My buddy Bern is thinking of picking up Gran Turismo 6, and because I know he loves this series I want him to get the best experience. I was hoping he could get the best value for his buck and I recommended possibly looking into Gran Turismo 5, which came out a longer while ago and is likely more affordable.

However he mentioned that some of his friends didn't recommend 5, that it was more circular circuits whereas he prefers more Gran Prix style.

I'm not exactly sure what that means but I know that some of you guys sink a lot of time into the games, and was hoping you guys could at least help inform us, though we right now think GT6 is the better choice for him (considering cost and overall experience for someone who is willing to invest in the game).

Let me know your thoughts, what are the more specific pros and cons. Also, Bern might post under my alias if he has any questions so hopefully you won't be too surprised.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

I don´t like your avatar, mocking Jesus Christ is very offensive to me. =/

That said GT6 has a faster interface, which is a great advantage, since GT5 interface was infuriating.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

GT5 online and DLCs will be removed this month... so the only option is GT6.

GT6 is a better game too in every single point and it is already below $30.

Even if he didn't play online some features are online related like the Seasonsl Events and Online Car dealership... so without the server you will loose some functionality.

2 cons for gt6 are easier carreer and challenges, shorter game and easier/faster platinum. I would buy gt6 new and gt5 cheap used.
