So I already made a prediction thread about Mario Kart 8's Retro courses, so now let's make one about it's Nitro tracks! Sure, there's still 4 we haven't seen yet, but we know Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road will be in here as the last two tracks in Special Cup, just like with every game, so really it's just 2 tracks, and just seeing them probably wouldn't make a difference at this point as far as predictions go. We have enough tracks to get this started! Before you do though, remember that Toad Harbor is officially located in Flower Cup, and Sunshine Airport aswell as "Night Club" (not official name, but we'll just call it that. Same goes for "Water Park") are confirmed for Star Cup. So here are my predictions below, and be sure to post yours aswell!

Im going with a big prediction here and saying there aren't going to be the obvious 32 tracks this time around (16new+16retro)

I think its going to be either 40 tracks (5 cups each) or 48 tracks (6 cups each)

Ah, so you're also predicting what one of the unknown tracks will be! Guess you'll get bonus points if you're right! Personally I'm hoping you're wrong though as Luigi tracks generally aren't the greatest imo!

Though interestingly enough there don't seem to be any section based tracks, atleast not that I can tell. They all seem closed and compacted thanks to the anti-gravity.

I dun know, between the number of tracks revealed so far and how much times is left until release, I feel like 32 tracks will be the case again, but here's hoping!

Yeah, i was suggesting that based on 13 revealed new tracks (14 technically cuz of Rainbow Road) 3 unrevealed with 2.5months remaining?

I'm with Tbone! But I believe there will be a new Cup, for both new and old tracks!

Yeah 12 Nitro tracks have been shown, but only 7 Retro tracks, hence I expect the next trailer not to have any nitro tracks but it'll show off 5 or so unrevealed retro courses, along with some new/returning characters of course!

-=MUSHROOM CUP=-

I strongly believe Mario Circuit will be the first track for once as it's the most prevalent one. Was the first track shown off, was the first track playable in the demo, the game's name is based on this track, and it prominently features anti-gravity, the game's main mechanic that makes lots of sense to be shown off in the very first course.

Next I picked Sweet Sweet Mountain due to it's simplicity and lack of hazards, making it a perfect fit for the Mushroom cup. Also because it has an underwater segment to introduce players to the mechanic.


I believe one of the unknown tracks will be here because none of the other ones feel like they'd fit, what with their complexity, multiple paths, and hazards.

Lastly, Dolphin Shoals! From what little we've seen, it seems like a pretty simple and straightforward track. Of course there could be all kinds of crazy junk waiting behind those dolphin-shaped rock formations, but I'm just going off what we know!



-=FLOWER CUP=-

First up is Toad Harbor, which we know for a fact will be in this cup. I think this track will be first because other than the many different paths and them trolly cars, it's a pretty simple track, and it was playable at E3, though I guess that doesn't necessarily mean anything. As for the rest of the tracks in this cup, they were just leftovers as I went over the other cups first, so yeah. :L



-=STAR CUP=-

The hardest part about this one was the order, as two tracks were already confirmed to be here, and I have a strong feeling about a third. So first up is the already confirmed to be here "Night Club," which I put first because every other 1st track is in daytime, and because I put Twisted Mansion at #4 and didn't want two nightime tracks right next to each other.

I put Cloudtop Cruise next as I felt this track had to be in the later half of the game, but couldn't be in Special Cup because Bowser's Castle is already there and this track has his Airships. Kinda dumb, but meh! I don't really have a reason for it being before the already confirmed Sunshine Airport.

Lastly, Twisted Mansion! I think it'll be in this cup based on the E3 demo. Mario Circuit from the Mushroom Cup is th 1st track, Toad Harbor from Flower Cup the 2nd, and so it'd make sense if the 3rd track being Twisted Mansion came from the Star Cup. Also this track just screams final track of the cup to me. Heh, get it!? xP

And finally the special cup! Honestly, I can't remember why I put "Water Park" here. Just feels like it fits I guess!

As for the last unknown track being here, it's because there's a possibility that all 4 tracks we haven't seen yet are from special cup. If that's the case, I'll atleast get one right! xD
