evidently so. Sony have been launching more new AAA IP's than nintendo do, every single year for well over a decade now.
edit: and when im buying uncharted, atleast I dont have to decide about picking between a red and blue version or X and Y, or whatever other bullshit they can think of. |
The red version of Uncharted you play as Drake and the blue version you play as Sully. If you want to play as them both you need to find a friend who has the other version otherwise you miss out :(

No its not.
Wii Sports club is a per game option where each game is heavily upgraded. It has better controls and a superb online system.
You then buy only the sports you really liked, such as tennis. Or even rent it just for party because that's the only time you'd play it anyways. Its very pro-consumer and high value.

You don't get value proposition do you? Honda's keep their value FAR better than any other. Yet you wouldn't say they are anti-consumer. Fact is Nintendo builds teh best game content that over time is STILL WORTH THE ORIGINAL PRICE to consumers. 3rd parties simply don't make that type of game. If they did, then they would keep the price up as well. A company drops price when it feels the value is not longer there and consumer purchasing proves that. This is why Wii U is selling like crap as the mass consumer doesn't see the value in it at $300 because the mostly see "wii" and that's a $100 hardware. But Zelda Twilight Princess was still $50 (full price) five years after it released because Zelda games retain high value. |
Are you talking about the car maker?
| superchunk said: I'm not buying another console unless it has "Nintendo" stamped on it. I love the 3rd party games out there, but I won't buy another console to play them. Why? Fuck you, that's why. Nintendo content is superb and well beyond the quality and games-craftsmanship of anyone else. I will always continue to buy their hardware so I can play their software. 3rd parties are largely about fucking the consumer and robbing us blind with a continued downward spiral of the valuation of our products. i.e. they keep offering you less and less while increasing the price, individuall and overall.
This DLC image above is a perfect example of what happens when you're only focus is on short-term gains. Nintendo doesn't do this and likely never will. Its anti-consumer and focuses on giving the consumer a lower end product while increasing the price. Additionally, it ruins the IP. I also refuse to pay for online access. There is no reason for it. PC has lived for decades on free online play for its games AND the games tend to cost less. It is merely another way greedy corps are fucking us. While the rest of you all have your lubed up asses, I'm sticking with Nintendo and its policy of hugs and high-fives. So to 3rd parties (that don't put quality on Nintendo hardware) and MSony, I say rot in hell. |
So how do you justify Nintendo forcing people to pay a subscription fee to access Pokemon Bank?

How is the pokemon variations a bad thing?
It is the same game with slight variation of the story and final character. It allows families and friends to have a slight differentiation between themselves and its pretty much wholly a unique user sale.
I have two kids and regardless if pokemon didnt' have X vs Y, I'd still buy two copies. This way I get to slightly distinct copies. Kind of like differ color options on buying a 3DS in the first place.
Naughty Dog is one example of a very rare breed.
PC only. Fuck the Wii U, PS4 and Xbone.
You are delusional if you think Nintendo is above taking advantage of you.
You will be the only one missing out then, i do agree Nintendo make great games, and there are alot of 3rd parties acting like shits, but there's still a fantastic about of great games not on Nintnedo platforms that are worth playing.
Then again if its a financial problem, Ninty is a good as console to pick as any, if you like there IP's
Dark souls 2 this week, breaking all of your 3rd party stereotypes.
