Forums - Gaming - I'm not buying another console.

Sounds very salty.

That said, if youre willing to miss out on a bunch of great games, knowing full well that they will be missing your platform of choice, then props to you. Lets see if you can stick to your guns when Gen 8 development really gets going.

You do realize that the Wii U's full potential hasn't been tapped either right? Oh and it does things in 1080p and 60fps with ease if developers are patient with it (unlike the xboxone), not that I actually care about visuals.

Then you are spending money on newer hardware, only it's a PC instead of a console. Otherwise, it's the same thing.

facepalm.

Are you fucking seriously comparing building a new pc every so often with a single purpose gaming console? I use gaming on my PC for less than 10% of its time. I build a new PC every so often just because I need/want to have a new PC for all of uses that far outweigh any potential gaming impact. Hell I don't even consider much gaming needs. I never buy high-end GPU.

I'm not  PC gamer. I am only considering steam due to its often very cheap way to buy games that do not come on Nintendo hardware. So for those games like Civ or humble bundle deals, etc ... I can do that.

Granted, as many know I am trending to walk away from PC completely for Chromebook. So if that does happen, then yes Steam will be gone too unless its opened to ChromeOS at some point. With SteamOS coming, its unlikely... and while I've contemplated building a steambox... I am now certain I never will.

I've owned a ton of 3rd party games all across my consoles.

You'll get another chance to buy Nintendo when the Wii U's successor comes out next year!

Well going by your google doc link, outside 3rd party games from 25 years ago, your scope in 3rd party game seems extremely limited to just majority EA franchises and franchises who new releases will most likely not grace the Wii U.  I mean if you have played more 3rd party titles over the course of the 25 years them I can somewhat (not really) see your point but you have been a majority Nintendo guy all your life so you saying what you did in the OP was not even warranted, you were most likely not going to by another console anyway (as you mentioned giddily when you created a thread about selling your PS3).

If these are "the times" I hope Nintendo never joins them. Whole new landscapes of a game like Zelda put in to DLC? What a bother that would be.

I don't like that idea either.

NSMBU is perfect example. They did not add DLC to bring worlds 10 and 11 and 12. They added a wholly new game NSLU that is a completely different gameplay idea and it added a ton of value to the existing base. Hell, it was even sold as a stand alone disc game due to its awesomeness.

Pikmin3 is another good example. They've added completely new maps/games/etc for multiplayer and they do that as bundles. Clearly new games that appeal to those who really liked the multiplayer/challenge games but not any part of the main game.

Again, both examples of the 1995 image above.

So expansions are a good thing when Nintendo does them, but greedy when everyone else does it. Lots of double standards in this thread.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That's the reason why Nintendo do what they want, because their fans accept everything no matter what. No new ips, outdated hardware for price of gold, region lock. Anyway, enjoy your console and the same franchises over and over...

This.  If he want to be limited playing the same game over and over with nintendo failing to keep the games coming at a normal pace, let him be.  There's no need for sony and microsoft owners to be in this position, the games will keep coming.  He is just angry that Wii U failed at retaining third parties games because he thaught that Wii U will have everything including third parties, that's why he decided to sell his ps3.

Nintendo games aren't the same thing over and over. If you think they are, then it's the same for other sequels. Also New IPs?? I can give you a fairly long list if you want it.

Nice story bro needs more dragons n stuff
