This game looks so much more balanced, thankz to the help of namco i guess!

Pac-man has little chance. Just because he's made by Namco means nothing. How about the fact that the Pac-man game for the Wii U got canceled? Or the simple fact that Pacman can't fight. I mean he's even been in a fighting game before...piloting a mech...I don't think that would work for Smash. Not gonna happen.

Krystal has the greatest chance of these five, followed by Lucina as an alt skin for Marth. Of course, Chrom has a much greater chance, but I'm assuming he's top 5. I mean for crying out loud he has his own stage already, he's 100% going to be in.

I have Pacman at #11 for a reason, i'll explain about how he's here in a sec. Krsytal does have a great chance, but like i pointed out Star Fox isnt in the same era as it once was. 2 characters would be fine but if a newcomer does come, Krsytal is the obvious choice. As for Chrom, lets see where he ends up on my top 10 list, if he shows up (wat am i kiidding, its obvious he will )

Now for Pacman

1. It does help a little namco is developing the game, but like you said its not a guaranteed.

2. Snake was in the previous game yet no MetalGear on Wii

3. Sakarai is a spectacular developer. How many characters had no moveset from their games? Pacman looks like he cant fight but then again Sakarai made Star fox+Captain Falcon from scratch right? Heck look at Wii Fit Trainer/Villager/Ice Climbers/MrG+W/R.O.B. All them can fight, they didn't look like they could of either pre SSB introduced!

Its a leak before E3 stating 6 newcomers. Wii Fit Trainer, an unbelievable choice was confirmed! 4 out of 6 already!

Well shit, that's actually some pretty strong evidence. And Mii is a character I'm predicting too. Ugh. I just don't want him. At all. There are so many Namco characters I'd choose first. Like every character from Tales of Symphonia. Or Soul Calibur, or Tekken. I mean hey, Link was in Soul Calibur, and the Tekken team is developing the game, so...it could happen. So many good female characters could make it, as well as villanous characters. Or in general just a bunch of characters that would be more loved than Pacman. I'm sure Pacman was considered though, that's almost a certainty. I just don't want him to be the one they choose.

Yes if i had the choice i choose Llyod Irving from ToS! Anyway, this isnt a personal top 20 list but most realistic list. Pacman wouldn't be anywhere near my top 20 (personal choices). But i try to be reasonable with my list! Wait intill you see my top 10 realistic characters. Espcially top 8 (i guarantee at least 5 characters will make it in from my top 8

I'd want Lloyd Irving as well. People want him so much, and he fits well. There's a lot of swordsmen already, but he's got two swords and his artes, which makes him unique, the Tales of series' fighting system already resembles smash bros in terms of special moves mapped to directions, and let's face it, he's just cooler, so people would enjoy it much more. Sheena would be interesting too though (summoner ninja), and still recognizable I think. Colette too (she's got those weird ring weapons and lots of buff/debuff moves). Lloyd would probably be the best choice. Of course, they could take Cress from Phantasia, or any of the main party from that. Ya know, there should be a fighting game for the Tales of series...

But yeah, there are a lot of really obvious characters that would really shock me if they weren't in. I'm sure we're thinking of a lot of the same characters.

I think Pac Man has really high chances of getting in, as he should. He is an icon of gaming and the mascot of Namco, even if they weren't developing it i'd still be expecting him. Any body that references his Street Fighter X Tekken appearance where he pilots a Mokujin should remember that Megaman was chunky and from his bad box art in that game, those appearances were joke guest appearance and you shouldn't take those seriously. For moveset potential look at the Pac Man World games.

As for Lucina, after Little Mac was confirmed she is now my most wanted newcomer. I think she is much more interesting than Chrom. However, her chances are pretty low due to her similarity to Marth. I really want her as her own playable character, but an alt skin wouldn't be bad either I guess...

For an e-shop rep I would much rather have Mallo from Pushmo than Dillon. Wasn't Pushmo a more successful game overall than Dillon's Rolling Western? Dillon has rolling into claw combos, which could be similar to Sonic in a way, while Mallo could bring a whole new fighting style to the mix: Sumo. He could also push blocks around and hit a reset button for a final smash or something haha. Also I'm pretty confident that Tempo from Harmoknight will be an assist trophy so he could replace Jill from Drill Dozer (:L)

I think Geno and Krystal's chances are slim to none. The days where they popular and had high demand are long gone and they are supporting characters, not main protagonists/antagonists, which also lowers their chances a little bit more.
