The beta was fine but far from perfect. Frame rate dip were easily noticeable and occured regularly. No game breaker fps side but still an annoyancd. beside bot and the low player count that game is fun, far from a master piece but enjoyable, getting my xboxone copy only on wednesday :(.

Any Cod fan will find a lot of cod in there, good ole cod days feeling.

RIP ps3, xbox360.

welcome home ps4 and X1

Not even referring necessarily to the resolution, but does anyone else feel like this graphics generation gap has been a huge letdown so far. I remember jumping from ps2 to Gears of War and Uncharted in hd and was so immersed in the new realism. I look at Titanfall compered to last gen and yawn....Wheres the big leap!

I still have high hopes to be blown away by the big boys like The Witcher 3, Crysis 4, and the next Uncharted though. Hell will freeze over before Crytek and Naughty Dog produce a weak looking game..

Please friend me boys I'm new here and love games and like to talk nerd muah :)

Gears Of War came 1 year after launch.

Lets compare Quantum Break at Xmas with Halo 4. Or Forza Horizon 2 with Forza Horizon 1. Those 2 titles will be 1 year after launch.

No article mentioned abouyt framerate dropping to single digits. In the Df article it says "Baker did reveal that we can expect to see some performance increases in the shipping game, based on optimisations carried out after the beta concluded. " so it won't be as bad as beta .. sure it drop from tiem to time,, but its still a smooth epxerience which i can atest to after playing the beta. Its much more fluid , smooth adn responsive compared to KZsf

GiantBomb says "single digit": http://www.giantbomb.com/reviews/this-is-not-a-titanfall-review-yet/1900-630/
Eurogamer says framerate issues: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-10-titanfall-launch-review

Even Polygon says framerate issues: http://www.edge-online.com/features/titanfall-is-an-intelligent-modern-shooter-which-gives-call-of-dutys-multiplayer-formula-new-life/

And when asked on Twitter?

All liers lol

No it doesnt. It says they tried to do that before release. The code was written with the old SDK. NOT the new one. Hence why they were having to try the same tricks as all the launch titles like BF4 and COD. Even Forza 5.

We already have confirmation the new SDK makes the size a non issue.

Respawn will have to rewrite the code to take advantage of the new SDK ESRAM Tiling Techniques. Clearly they are referring to the existing code they had.

But Im sure youll twist this into somehow in 4 weeks Respawn couldnt magically rewrite the code before it went gold.

lol source?

He's going to give you a link for Rebellion games because they're the only dev who stated this. None of any of the big time devs stated this..

It was a prediction, guess, hope from Rebellion Games... not a claim lol

BTW Sniper Elite 3 seems to run at 720p in Xbone.

:( Sad Face.

Its such a shame that titles made for launch window games ( first year ) were all made with the crappy SDK. I guess is to much to much to rewrite the code for the new SDK and Tiling techniques. As more than just a few ings need to be re written as it means changes across the board.

Still @ 720p its higher pixels than Killzone Muliplayer for example, so not to bad. Xmas 2014 will be the 2nd wave of games.

And a patch may yet turn up by the sounds of things with more time to rewrite code. And as its Online only game, everyone will have the new patch.

Keep working on it Respawn. Just rewrite the code even if it takes 6 months. 1080p would be great.

At least this is another developer confirming ESRAM size is the issue.

I reacted the same way at the bolded part.........KIllzone is at a higher pixel count at the same time is rendering more detailed enviroments. Titanfall is going to be an awesome game but dont compare it gpahically to Killzone

Gears and Uncharted took a year or two to get released. This gen has only just started but the likes of Battlefield 4 (when it's working, lol) and Killzone Shadowfall are a pretty good showcase at present.

Titanfall on the other hand is running on an updated version of the Source engine originally used in Half-Life 2 and Counterstrike: Source, so there's only so far they can push it in time for deadline day. From what I understand, with Source it's generally harder to get the the same performance and effects as some of the more advanced engines like Cryengine 3 or UE4.
