Final Fantasy Type-0 has been heralded as one of the best games in the Final Fantasy franchise. It received a near perfect score from Famitsu (39 out of 40) and received high scores from other publications. Fans of the franchise here in the west were looking forward to being able to play this game but received the short end of the stick when a localization never happened.

A fan on the game known only as Sky (who tends to hack games in his spare time for fun; mostly on the translation end of things) has been working tirelessly to bring the game here for English speakers to enjoy. The mod is set to release here on August 8, 2014 for the PSP and Vita. To get in the spirit of this, you can watch the teaser trailer here - and might I add, the trailer looks official. Anyone looking forward to playing this should keep an eye on the blog for regular updates on the mod as well as for when it will be available to play (which will be August 8 as they’ve stated). It’s a free-to-play mod, so there’s no need to worry about needing to pay for anything.

Nice! how will we be able to play it on the vita? Will we have to mod it wouldn't we...

It will probably be on PSN and that´s all Vita will need.

How do you install a mod, or play a modded game on the Vita I wonder.

It can't though since it's ilegal it put it on the psn, unless you mean download the Japanese version and they patch it from there.
