Forums - Gaming - Gamestop/ebgame Employee not informed or biased...

I enjoy both console but the point is that they Gamestop manager should educate their employee. Stating that the ps4 had 4 Ram compared to 8 on xbone was totally bs and proof of a severe lack of knowledge of the product they sell.

RIP ps3, xbox360.

The gamestops near me are pretty bad.

1. No one is informed, almost every time I know more than the clerk.
2. One of the gamestops every one seems sad. I bought a gameinformer with the MGS cover and the dude looked like he wanted to jump out a window the entire interaction.
3. The other GameStop the dude just wants to get every transaction over as fast as possible and he isn't that friendly. Wham, bam, here's your receipt, get out

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Video games mean a lot to us but for the Gamestop employee, it's just a job.  Probably a shitty one at that.  Maybe they're enthusiastic about games but that's probably it.  The knowlege we've gained over the years is impressive but we aren't the average gamer.  Hell, I'll probably buy an Xbox One in the next 7 days and I already own a PS4 (meaning I'll own every 7th and 8th gen console that isn't clled Ouya) and I have no idea about the tech inside the boxes.  Cut 'em some slack.  They're getting paid poorly to sell Call of Duty to 12 year olds.

When I saw the title. I instantly knew this would be a story of bias against a Sony console.

Its a conspiracy!!

Same here...

@d21lewis your probably right but if you do not know about something you better not act like you and make yourself looks fool.
As a gamer since over 25 years to me spec matter as they are what push what you see on the screen, when I built a gaming PC I had spec in mind. Same goes while buying a console, trying to get the best first but I always end getting them all.
So far this gen I skipped Nintendo which is a first for me and I do not plan on getting it.

@bloodyrain I must agree that not all of them can be so bad, as I told the manager was great and well informed. It probably is related to each individual but I still think there is a lack of training/teaching of their employees.
Its like if an Honda dealer would be telling you that the civic has 300hp while the accord has 225 to push you to the civic.

Agreed.

I wouldn't expect a waiter to know everything about cuisine, would I?

Actually, most waiters are expected to know at least SOME things about the food they serve.  Many patrons will inquire prior to purchase.  There's a difference between knowing everything and having the bare minimum to do your job.

Most people in most stores are kind of retarded, that's just life.
