Agreed. Sometimes, small groups of extremely passionate fans mistake their passion for ubiquity. 

This game will really please the MGS fanbase. That fanbase is not mainstream.

I doubt this game specifically would move any consoles since it's a glorified demo but MGS is a very popular brand. The last entry in the mainline franchise sold nearly 6m units on only one console.

well, the game comes out around the same time as infamous ss so there will be a boost from infamous ss too.

How much did mgs 4 sell? Wasnt it around 4 million? How much hardware would a game that only sold 4 million really move? Not many.

Even being a 2 hours game, it's still far more interesting than most games for PS4/Xbone. At least more than Infamous, Titanfall, Destiny ,

I'm going to wait until UC4 gets a release date before buying a next gen system. Games so far are a dissappointment to me.

Not to mention titanfall comes a week earlier and WILL move consoles.

Whilst I agree with you regarding Titanfall, this demo will probably do something in Japan. A FFXIII demo more than triple the PS3 numbers in Japan and that really was a damn demo less than 2 hrs long with nothing else added.

Whilst MGS has a significantly smaller fanbase than FF, there are certainly a fair number of hardcore followers in Japan that will get a PS4 just for this.
