My hype for this game hit close to zero like 6 or 7 months ago.

Based on the trailer, it definitly doesnt look as good as what we were shown at E3. This game was supposed to usher in next-gen, so it is naturally disappoiting when you tease next gen and then deliver current gen.

I still dont understand why they had to downgrade the graphics on next-gen. Can it be the consoles cant handle it? Or was the game axed across the board to lower development costs?

Maybe they'll learn not to make bullshot gameplays just to serve a half assed game later. Lol who am I kidding, it's Ubisoft. Can't wait to see The Division at this years E3.

I'm waiting on an AI showcase, if it's downgraded like the graphics, there is no way I'm buying it.

I think the Division will be safe since it isn't cross gen and is only coming to PS4, X1 and PC.

As for Watch_Dogs—any hype I had for it is gone. I'll have to wait and see what reviews it gets, how it plays, and what other people say before I even think of buying it.

Good thing for them they are probably raking in a boatload of money on South Park SoT and AC4 right now.

It's not a next gen game, it's cross gen. Personally, I don't give a rat's hindquarters as long as the game-play is fun. It looks completely fine.

Pretty much.  Really the whole "next gen graphics" mentality is poisonous in itself... forcing budgets to be more and more focused on graphics instead of things like... gameplay, level design, story and length.

Also I don't think ubisoft is frigtened of the backlash.

Internet Videogame fans are like the Internet Wrestling Community.  A Niche withing a niche who's opinions aren't nearly as important to the big companies as they think.

if that rumor of a 70+ million dollar development cost is true they should be scared.

watch dogs will sell a lot of copies,... at $20.

Completely agree. "Next-gen" has become such a counter-productive buzz word. Like "hardcore" and "AAA" before it, the term focuses the conversation on all the wrong things.

I'm not terribly interested in Watch Dogs, but it has nothing to do with how many pixels it has or how smooth the animations are.

Watch Dogs will be fine. It never had a chance to be better than Infamous anyway. I'll play it for the story.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Watch dogs didn't even look that good when it was revealed...... Now suddenly it looks worse?? How can they barely be above GTA v on ps3..,
