Forums - Microsoft - Was ntkrnl's Xbox One leak just legitimized?

I would get a XB1 - if i could - just for those Halo games!

Halo 2 Anniversary this year would be a super smart move!

1. Bring back Halo 2 MP from the grave, hellz yeah
2. Include beta for Halo 5 to drum up buzz and polish the MP
3. Delay Halo 5 from a 2 year dev cycle to a 3 year cycle for extra all around polish.
4. Wait for the X1 install base to rise to get bigger front loaded sales
5. Don't go up against Destiny in the same year. Soooo many unfair comparisons will be made since its available on 4 consoles vs Halo 5 being on one.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I hope MS has a few surprises left because if that is all there is to come for Xbone in 2014 and 2015, it is a really weak line up. Crackdown 3, Platinum game and the new Gears of War arecoming in 2016.

Beautiful.

My bad so many CBoat groupies around the web that it's like mosquito if you hear a buzz you just squish the thing without watching...
to me a gamer that claims any allegiance to that tool is as relevant than a musician claiming Justin bieber is the god of music. Both loose total credibility and are just entertainers of poor quality to me...

Rare will have another game, likely a classic IP, in either late 2014 or 2015 I'm sure, no way the entire team as large as it is has been developing Kinect Sports Rivals for 2.5 years. I'm sure that Microsoft won't be waiting until March 2016 to release their first major Japanese exclusive, chances are there will be at least one major Japanese exclusive releasing this year since they're releasing the console in Japan this year, Phil Spencer already said that they signed some unannounced Japanese exclusives (plus they were in talks with Yukio Futatsugi to develop a Phantom Dust reboot, and a deal appeared to have been signed, so it'll probably be coming in 2015). I'm sure they'll have a few more western developed AAA 2nd and 3rd party surprises as well, I could see Microsoft getting with EA and paying for Bioware's new Star Wars RPG exclusively since KOTOR did so well on the original Xbox.

I highly doubt Microsoft is even going to attempt to do anything in Japan. They tried hard with the 360 by getting several big Japanese exclusives but it was ultimately pointless. They're not going to waste money courting an audience that isn't interested. Also, KOTOR 3 exclusivity would be a strange move, they didn't get Mass Effect 2 or 3 exclusive.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Courting dev for JRPG is a smart move even if they didn't ever release in Japan at all... Everybody knows that JRPG AAA titles sell better and more outside of Japan anyway... And exclusivity would push more hardware outside of Japan anyway...

so yeah I disagree... Working on Japanese devs courting is ALWAYS a smart move and worth it in the long run if you maintain the incoming flow along the Gen... It would make a bigger hit to have exclusive after exclusive from Japan for Xbox vs ps4 than if they could truly unleash the power of da cloudz
