Forums - Gaming - South Park: The Stick of Truth - Sale Stopped in Germany/Austria (delayed)

Ubisoft :

We’re sorry to inform you that we are unable to deliver your pre-ordered version of South Park: The Stick of Truth on March 6th as initially planned. The German and Austrian version of South Park: The Stick of Truth contains an unconstitutional symbol which means that we are unfortunately not able to release the game on the German and Austrian market at this time. This concerns all versions/platforms of the game. There is no need to amend or cancel your pre-order. A new release date of South Park: The Stick of Truth for the German and Austrian market will be announced shortly, and we will ensure that your order is delivered to coincide with this new date.

We are extremely sorry for the additional waiting time, and thank you for your understanding.

if it is the level i think it is then it is truly baffling they hadnt seen this coming..

Why do Germany still tries to cover their past? (Assuming that unconstitucional symbol is what I think it is). Why can't they just, move on? Seriously, this makes no sense.

Britain or Spain did much more damage in previous eras, and no one tries to hide those things from the public. Germans are oversensitive with these things.

Germany, the only country that I as an Australian feel sorry for concerning censorship.

Yep, reasoning this way in a coherent way, Germany should outlaw practically everything, even cars, as before using cyanide, they used even exhaust gas to kill innocent people (although this method was first used on a relatively large scale by soviet NKVD).

They don't try to cover the past, they try to make it difficult to be glorified.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

So the already censored game is censored enough, wow

Wow, no wonder my pre order didnt get delivered today.

This country man, this fucking country...Holy shit. Whats really pathetic is that they are absolutely no different today than when they were during WW2 when it comes to their censoring policy. Fucking politically correct imbeciles, i hate the left wing and their bullshit agenda so much here.

I feel for you. Do you live anywhere near the Dutch-Belgian border? I don't think there's any censoring here.
