The leaked Nintendo Fusion details already provide a likely answer.

It is fake. It would be their most stupid technical decision ever to try to merge a console and a portable device. There is not a single advantage. They couldn't run the same games because of the massive power difference (not even watered down versions). The leaked specs would make it expensive as hell. If Nintendo did it, and I can assure you they won't, it will be their last gaming device and they will follow Sega's path.

They have to stop trying to create crazy devices nobody wants and do a simple, powerfull, affordable console with good online infrastructure to gather 3rd party support back.

Is this not what vita TV is trying to acomplish? Playing games from a handheld trough a device that makes resolution a little better?

Answering OP's question: They make mobile games, and no.

What games do they do, and why no?

Like Mario and stuff... No because you can't make full games on mobile at this point, and the audience there would rather have something quick and very simple.

I have this nagging feeling you didn't read the OP... First off, Nintendo do not make Mario mobile games, and secondly, that's NOT what I'm suggesting. I said do Brain Age on mobile, because that shit doesn't sell anyways on 3DS, and the touch screen would work fine.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Oh... that makes perfect sense.

Boy, you opened a can of worms, a can that was clearly marked "worms" and each worm wearing a prideful smile and a mario hat.

I know this won't go down well with some/most Nintendo fans, but I'd love to see the arguments AGAINST my OP... This way mobile sales wouldn't detract from the 3DS, and Nintendo would earn money. Besides, these are games that Nintendo fans mostly don't care that much about (except Pokemon ofc ^^).

And as a Nintendo hater (j/k), what do YOU think if my arguments? Oh btw, I didn't come up with that pokemon idea *hint hint nudge nudge*

I've been told not to talk to you, "thief".

Fusion may be a fake but the resolution of the mobile device is so extremely low that it could be true. 720p should be the minimum, as many smartphones already feature a 1080p screen. I also do not think that the system would be overpowered or too expensive to produce, as it uses just regular state of the art hardware. It would be a bit faster than PS4, which is something you should expect if it releases two years later.

Nintendo already confirmed it wants to create a single OS for mobile and home console and the Fusion would fit perfectly to this strategy.

Whaaat?! I said I could credit her, but she wouldn't have none of that ^^ But I guess that one does what the misses says when you're pussy whipped a nice guy ^^

Problem is, Brainage and Nintendogs would do nothing to convince people to buy a Nintendo console. Mobile games will give them profit but it will also bring unrealistic expectations from people who would rather just play their games on mobile.

I think of it this way- will a Mario game on my phone make me want to buy a Wii U or another Nintendo console? No. It will only make me want more Nintendo games on mobile.

I have doubts they can enter the mobile market without ruining their handheld market or their reputation of making great games that are fun to play. The problem I see with making apps that work as an extension to pokemon or mario is knowing the game is just an extension will be a turn off to most who have no interest in purchasing a Nintendo console. It will probably be more popular with Pokemon/mario enthusiasts.
