It's just the preference. If you like Nintendo games, you'll love the Wii. If you don't, then you will hate it.

I love Nintendo games and hate the Wii. That's right: I'm all kinds of fucked up. 

Then it was probably the "Wii" games, motion controls, third party support, or all of those.

All of the above. Except for Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 which I tolerated waggle for. Still pissed me off though. I would've preferred a button press to spin.

At least it wasn't like those random shovelware. "Shake the Wii remote to kick the ball!" "Shake the Wii remote to bite your lips!"

Nintendo fans still look back with horror to the year of 1995, the introduction of the 2nd best game console of all time after PS2

This simple nostalgia video has 3.5 million views, just goes to show you how big and fond people are of the Playstation brand. You must be an incredibly salty and bitter Nintendo fan to spout such nonsense lol, Playstation uplifted the industry, it made gaming popular and sales prove it, PSX was the first console to cross 100 million, before PS gaming was for kids and nerds.


Playstation wouldn't exist without Nintendo, and to say gaming was for kids before that is ridiculous, obviously you didn't have a ps1 as it was also a less serious games machine which why it was actually fun, ps2 is an overrated console, I almost bought a Gamecube to replace it, I've noticed a trend though with Sony's consoles, each one gets progressively more boring than the last, PS1 was there best console ironically born from the SNES.

So? Nintendo wouldnt exist in its current form without Atari and still make card games lmao.

I got a PS1 in 1997 for my birthday. During its lifetime, like all PS systems and unlike Nintendo systems, PS1 got very diverse games. But overall, the games looked cooler that was made for a more mature audience. FF7, Tomb Raider, MGS, Tekken, Syphon Filter, Resident Evil etc were all mature and dark that shaped the PS1. N64 was shaped by colorful, kid friendly games like Mario 64 and the cute awwww Pikachu N64 edition. The PS1 still had colorful games, like I said, Sony consoles have very diverse libraries.

 

I regrettably bought a Gamecube before PS2. I was so jealous of GTA on PS2, why the hell did it never get GTA? It was ridicilous. GC still had awesome games but I bought a PS2 later on and never looked back. Best.game library.ever

Lol PS1 games wasn't made for a mature audience at all, PS2 is when everything changed and got all serious with Sony, PS1 was a far better console than the PS2 in my opinion, I liked the Gamecube more than the PS2, all my PS2 did was collect dust while I was having tonnes of fun playing local multiplayer on a friends Gamecube, that's what gaming is about to me, having fun with friends, not graphics or so called mature games.

Yep silent hill, resident evil, kings field and the countless other games like that were all made for kids.

If PS4 is just a PS1 with better graphics than isnt Wii U just a N64 with better graphics?

I think Sony started to have more "mature" consoles with the PS3, not the PS2. For the gaming part, gaming to me is almost nothing about having fun with your friends, It's about having your own experiences alone and getting immersed in the game world.
