I am shocked by these news.

Hennig is the developer i most admire in the gaming industry. She writes insanely good scripts. She was responsible for the Legacy of Kain series in Crystal dynamics.

I hope she manages to go back to Crystal dynamics and works on a new Legacy of Kain title. Naughty Dog and Uncharted just became a whole lot worse. The last of us sure is overrated. Now even the designers got their heads overblown. -.-

Why not? I'm sure whoever takes over will try to remain consistent which will probably result in more of the same. I don't think they intend to take the series in a bold new direction.

but without the same writer leading the story, theres LESS of a chance of it feeling too similar.

I mean, sure, i hope and suspect she'll be snapped up by another team soon enough, it sucks to lose or leave a job, but if it impacts the outcome of the next uncharted game, and does so for the better (more gritty, less tounge in cheek) then im all for it.

We've gone from potentially another boring uncharted but a bit prettier, to a complete unknown, complete unknown to me is more exciting than knowing roughly what to expect.

It was still awesome per all game standards, but it felt a little exhausted compared to Uncharted 2.

Gotta disagree. UC3 is far more interesting than UC2 to me, which I found to be a complete overrated bore. UC3 redeemed the series in my eyes.

Dont even joke.

I sent her a tweet wishing her the best no matter where she goes, but her genious cant be released on mobile devices. A return to Crystal dynamics would be dreamy. Even if she ends up working on Tomb Raider.

I completely agree. I could see Amy's genious finally released on Uncharted 3. I loved it, while the other entries in the series were very meh...

That's very sad.

But if it means that we'll get the TLOU quality of writing/directing/(gameplay?) also for UC4, I am all for it!

Maybe trying new stuff also for UC4 for the gameplay? less linear? usefull stuff this time to find to make us want to explore the world not just for admiring the scenery?
