Wrong... new optimizations will come near the end of life of the console... PS3 is almazing us with the 2014 titles because these improvements.

THe PS3 was a design disaster, therefore people had to waste many years trying to geti ti to work optimally.

 

The PS4 and XB1 are about as close to off the shelf as you will see for now.  Using 2-3 year old tech on top of that.  Won't take long to get the DIMINISHING RETURNS part done.  I did not say they won't have further optimizations, just that they will have very minimal impact after the first 12 months.

Wrong again... you will see better code for Xbone/PS4 in the end of the gen... 2018 and 2019 will show optimizations que you never believe today.

BTW PC hardware due the different instructions and archecture is not optimizaed at all... over 90% of the code found in PC is not optimized for 64bits for example... consoles will be the fist time the x86_64 arch will be fully optimized... a lot of code will be better because the consoles.

PC is starting to receive close to metal optimizations now... it is yet a baby... you will see a lot more advanced techs because the consoles in the future.

When I was saying WRONG, it was sarcasm.  I can't be wrong, and you can't be right.  YOu can't know for sure what will happen 4-5 years from know, you are just guessing.  Just like me!
