Arkham Verse is reporting that there’s a large possibility that the next game in the Batman Arkham franchise is set to be titled Batman: Arkham Knight.  The domain name is now active, but it’s restricted. Game Informer teased that they will be revealing a new game tomorrow with all signs pointing towards it being a new Batman title developed by Arkham City developer, Rocksteady.

This was all that I needed to hear. I'm officially sold on this game.

Why would they make the franchise yearly?

Looking back they were really shortsighted with the Arkham license. I get the first game having so many villains as it needed to pull people in, but once they saw it would be a successful franchise they should have saved some big villains for their own games. I hope this is a more intimate 1v1 battle with an extra or 2 thrown in.

I don't know what to feel about this. I don't know if I want it to be a franchise that releases a game yearly like COD, Assassin's Creed, etc.

Because that would be awesome?

Hope they also pick up on the Azrael-story they started in Arkham City

Even if this series becomes a yearly thing (which I hope to God is not the case) it still wouldn't be as bad as games like COD and BF. The Batman universe is rich with history. It's almost as old as Superman. I have hope for this game. Especially since it's created by RS and not WB.

For the love of God, give us the BatMobile now.
