Forums - Nintendo - Do you believe Nintendo, when they say they will continue to support the Wii U?

They've never abandoned ship 2 years into a console's lifespan though; Wii got a good 4-5 years of support.

I do but people have to realize that Nintendo isn't run by magical pixies that can put out games every month... They just can't cause its not physically possible unless they want to put out the worst games in the history of gaming... They will continue to put out games at the best of their abilities but they just can't bring them out every month which is the biggest flaw cause Nintendo just isn't big enough so I hope that in the future, they buy enough studios to make sure that when third party abandons them, they can carry the system on their own

I do... Don't you think they've started development on many games already? Most dev cycles take "usually" 2 years, so we might (the word I want is hopefully) see that 2015 will be the year of Wii U. Not in sales, but in software releases.
Or do you seriously think it will be SSB4 in December and done!?

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

This year? Of course, but how long after? They have abandoned ship many times before.

I dont trust them...

I don't trust them at all. The wiiU will die before 2016 (or during) imo.

Yes, i believe them.

And if they keep the current quality, them i am a happy owner.

If it were to happen next year I would halt the purchase of their next console/handheld because that would be a worse shafting then the MS fiasco. But if MK8 and SBU moves units

Can't we all just get along. If not for yourself, do it for the future.

They will support it till the next home console launches. Many people are saying 2016, but i dont think so. 2017 seems likely to me.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

The earliest I see them dropping support would be late 2016...

I would like to believe them but the empty tail end of Gamecube and Wii makes me feel like I know better than to trust them.
