It's a bit hard to compare them since Zelda has been around much longer, so I decided to compare the last three console Zelda with Uncharted 1-3. I did this to see which franchise is more popular now. I'm only looking at the mainline console titles for this.

Twilight Princess sold better than any Uncharted title, but I think that Uncharted 2 and 3 might have the advantage if we factor in digital numbers. Of course we can't say that definitively. We can say that the last 3 Uncharted titles have sold better than the last 3 console Zelda games.

PS3 fans buy more games than Nintendo fan... That's all there is to it. If it was multiplatform, twilight princess would have sold as much as mario kart I'm sure.

I remember there being like three threads on this in one week a few months ago. Anyway, I'd say they're pretty similar. Wiimote+ was required for SS IIRC so that makes the numbers even closer.

Anyway, the answer completely depends from what perspective you look at it from. Purely from a sales basis of the main games, yes Uncharted is (and looking at the WiiU's sales, will remain for a while) the bigger series. However, while it may currently be smaller, Zelda is a much more sustainable series. Uncharted will eventually die out as ND move on to a new IP, while Nintendo will still be making Zelda games for the next few hundred/thousand years.

It's not 4 different games. Also, people who bought on GC could have bought on the Wii. This isn't the same case as the HD up-ports.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise

Which Mario kart? :P That's a pretty vague statement since the different installments of the series have sold between 5 - 35 million.
