The majority of 360 gamers were swing gamers who came from the PS2. Some of them are coming back (probably more).  If you add the marketshare of the 360 and PS3 you get the PS2 era. Essemtially the only one who grew the overall marketshare for gaming last gen was  Nintendo, but those gamers are more than likely  not coming back unless a fad starts.

The PS4 is selling better than the Xbox One because it is $100 cheaper and didn't go through the Xbox One's online only fiasco...

Sounds about right. For me, the Xbox 360 was a much better console than the PS3 but I own a PS4 and not an Xbox One. M$ just made some dumb mistakes. Gamers, for the most part, go where they think they'll get the best experiences and from the looks of things, the PS4 will eventually be the home of the best games. Sony succeeds in the areas that matter the most. The ones that flocked to the 360 for its online, price, power, etc. seem to be flocking back.

-I just want to say that anyone that owns a PS4 right now is not having fun with it. Not even a little bit. Even if they THINK they're having fun, they're not. They are lying to themselves. It's coming, though.

The PS launch isnt a really fair comparison to last gens launch since the system is $400 and the X360/PS3 were $500+(I know the arcade was $400 but no one wanted that). The PS4s sales should be compared to MS and or sony sales @$400. If MS or Sony launched @ $300 the sales would be better than they are currently. Its not swing gamers, its gamers that buy @ the $400 price point. If there is a swing it would be due to things that MS/Sony have done to gamers to make them choose the other brand at this point.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I'm not one to say whether or not people are lying to themselves that they truly enjoy a system... but I agree. (I just wouldn't say it)
