Should white people be allowed in the conversation of multiethnicity?

Yes-White people are multiethnic, too 52 70.27%

Being in college and reading the news, I've been seeing that racial tension seems to be a huge issue in the United States. People are seeing double standards in how both the government and society see and treat people with different ethnicities. People want solutions.

My question is if white people, or those in the majority, should have a place in the discussion, and how much if so.

I honestly want to be a part of the conversation. I want to learn, and I want to help. The problem I've been facing is two-parts:

1. I don't even know if I should be allowed to be part of the discussion. I'm not oppressed in any way. I don't know what others are experiencing or seeing. I can't really contribute anything without compromising my own heritage which I happen to like.

2. I run into people like this that scare me away from the conversation:

I know there's a sense of hurt and anger, but what can I do, as a white person, to be engaged in this conversation? Should I even bother?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Not unless you enjoy constantly being told to "check your privilege" or want to be accused of "whitesplaining" every time you express a differing opinion.

as a rule, i only discuss segregation with other racists. just kidding.. but seriously, i only discuss discriminatory matters with ppl that don't think in groups and don't place ppl in groups, but instead understand we are individuals with individual rights not group rights. So if those ppl discussing it fall into one of those categories, that would allow me to decide if i want to be in the discussion.

The ideal outcome is that ethnicity never even comes up, except when people themselves want it to.

A society where white people are socially forbidden from commenting on a topic is not productive towards that. Neither is affirmative action.

White people are actually the most discriminated people ever

What I don't get is why people like to claim race doesn't exist but then they make every issue about race.

If race doesn't exist, then what you want to do should not be an issue.

By the way I don't think it should be an issue.

Why you even want to engage in a stupid argument like that?
I can talk about racial tension with anyone disposed to do so, not somebody who wants to free their frustration on me.

I would not use the word "ever" but white people are the most discriminated race in the United States now by far

You could get beat up in Chicago for being white.
