@ fusioncode.

Sony owe more than 60 billion in debt. They posted another big loss.

I was saying good for xbox fans that we get more talented devs.

My opinions dont require your approval. And im not here to change your opinion. You need to chill a bit.

Complete bullshit. Sony is 17b in debt, not 60. That's exactly what I'm talking about, you keep spreading this crap that's not even true.

@ fusioncode.

Not the lending financials i read.

And your entitled to your opinion. Lately the industry is proving me right on quite a few things. Im comfortable with my predictions and trusting devs over fanboys.

Now, im off to preorder titanfall. Still not done that yet.

There's my source, can you please show me yours? Because right now you're just making things up and not backing up your claims. Call me a fanboy all you want but at least I'm not making up random numbers and hoping that a company goes bankrupt for a console war.

Good for the people that got laid off, I hope they all find jobs.

Lol... Like MS gonna hire the bad ones... You really think you get hired just showing a resume???? And having SSM written on it???

SSM Quality development...vs MS level development. Yep....Microsoft would take SSM table scraps in a second. They can fix almost any game and I cannot wait for Sony to let them off the leash and create their own game. Once they are finished helping out with the Order I cannot wait to see what they will be allowed to make by Sony. As have seen from watching E3 for the past what...five years? MS takes pride in affiliating themselves with ex-Sony staff. Hell they even built up Insomniacs game right after they left exclusivity with Sony just because they were affiliated with them. They were so happy to have a Sony affiliated game as a multiplat.

in games maybe even though I could argue that MS has been in the VG business just as much as Sony and did some of the most renouned IP in the market in their niche back then with titles like flight simulator, age of empire, close combat, the madness saga etc.... and beside that MS is with google, apple, IBM the company hireing the best developpers in the world for the past 40 years almost... granted not for games mostly
not saying SSM is a bad studio by any means but you don't get a job at MS like you do at walgreens.... even in their VG studios...  so if they got fired because they sucked chances are they won't get past the first interview... if they get to that point...

I suppose that's their response to Sony stealing Corrinne Yu :P

But at least in that case, none game was cancelled

i dont remember any announcement in first place.

”The environment where PlayStation wins is best for this industry” (Jack Tretton, 2009)

@selnor and fusioncode

I believe fusioncode is right on that one sony's total debt is around 17 billion US dollars..... it's around the 2000's that it was at 60 billion I believe (not sure on that one) that's when they sold a lot of assets.... never the less they have issues on free cash flow and other points.... debt is not everything... companies like apple have a shit load of debt too... you have good debt and bad debt....

Now Sony seems to be moving in the right direction they got out of VAIO, let see what else will be axed.... but they need to do something more.... or a big innovation...

It would be stupid to search for a deeper meaning behind this other than what it is.

Point being...MS is only extending their hand to the top studios and the word is that Gears of War hasnt even started its development but is rather only in talks right now, so I am sure its for that. Irrational studios and SSM are two of the top studios in gaming, period. They have been filling Black Tusk with allstar workers and yet we still see no new IP after what? Two years? They have more studios. Just keep paying for new staff. I know its for Gears. Their level for creativity isnt that high, but at this point I can tell that they want this Gears game to be the holy grail if they are taking from Irrational and Sony. Those two companies with staff in one place is murder to your competition.

Showing me all the great simulation and racer titles MS was involved with doesnt prove anything to me. I already know they are great at business. I've been playing Flight Simulator since I was pretty young. That has nothing to do with creativity and no...Forza and Gran Turismo say absolutely nothing about creativity.. If MS is perfect at one thing in gaming its publishing simulations. After their third gen they are still only good at the same things.Experimentation isnt very big on their list, but I am glad that if they are afraid of creativity that they are sticking with the devil the do know. Gears is my favorite franchise on Microsoft and Halo started to grow bland for me after Reach. After the reception for Killer Instinct one would've thought MS would buy Double Helix but Amazon got them. I am sure once some workers get laid off there, MS will take up the table scraps as well. They are good at it.

Really? Do you know every single one of them?

I mean Rod must be a bum and Gears is irrelevant.

And 2 years is not the time the team was stablished but being put together(still in the process). BT is still staffing and being organized.
