Im not surprised. Bethesda was one of the devs at launch to talk about the Poor SDK and bottleneck of the 32 mb ESRAM.

They are also saying the new SDK makes the ESRAM issue for Resolution basically a non issue.

PS4 version was already announced 1080p/60. I reckon the reason they waited to say the Xbox One version was because they were implementing the SDK ESRAM efficiencies. Making sure the new SDK did as promised, before announcing it.

So no tis doesn't surprise those of us who actually listened to the developers on why Xbox One res was lower at launch titles.

quoting for more exposure, this is a very important post

Agree.

But the new arguement will be and has already been seen - " Its a cross gen game, hardly surprising. "

All the while forgetting Ghosts was a cross gen game and looked significantly worde visually than Wolfenstein. And yet Ghosts was 720p on Xbox One.

Because remember, where Xbox One is concerned we have to NOT believe developers but believe 50% bro.

Ohh yussss we're back in the PS4 power is meaningless time once again.

It will be glorious! Can't wait for the truth to come out as the poet said!

very short sighted response, since neither selnor or I say that anywhere

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Suppose you have an insane good pc which can run crysis 4, but your os is fucked by a virus or whatever complication, the game won't run aswell as when the os would be 100%

and yes this can affect performance very very much

There it requires WAY more power to render 1080p 60 FPS than 720p and 60 FPS. There is no way that it was that unoptimized.

Xbox One has viruses confirmed?

Id tech 5 isn't 10 years old it's first game rage released in 2011

you could see a unoptimized SDK having the same infuence as a virus or something like that : affecting performance alot.....

I was being sarcastic obviously but I am just saying there is no way that the SDK was so noptimized it will take it from 720p 60 FPS to 1080p 60 FPS. 32 MBs of ram is just not enough to run graphic intensive games at 1080p and 60 FPS.

if the difference between the pervious SDK and new SDK is easier tiling? then you are wrong

Gameplay is all that matters. 720p is good enough. No one is going to notice the difference. 1080p is overkill. Waste of resources. Piss poor development.

Waste of what resources?

You don't need to expend any resources on making a game 1080p vs. 720p, just as PC games can be set to output at any resolution you choose.

Did they say the magic word, "natively"?

The PR person knew what question was being asked. This hope that, because they didn't expressly SAY 'native,' that it might not be is pretty sad. You honestly hoping that the console you don't own can't match the resolution and frame rate of your own console?

The PS4 crowd have been so happy about the resolution disparity that they are not going to know what to do with themselves when all new X1 games are being released on that new SDK that better utiliizes the ESRAM to give 1080p in every title. Just enjoy it while it lasts, I guess. Or enjoy something more rational than a slight resolution disparity in launch window titles between two competing consoles.

The PS4 fans will be just as happy as always :P The PS4 is still a decent chunk more powerful than the X1, that hasn't changed.

Of coures resolution and frame rate are not the whole picture.
GPU resources that can support higher stats in those areas can also support higher AA and other graphics features.
Even the most incompetent dev around would have to PURPOSEFULLY FAIL to not get more out of a stronger GPU.
