Yes, probably.

They did it with Tomb Raider DE by dropping down to 900p in some shanty town levels (yes also during gameplay, don't believe every words of Digital Foundry articles).

And you have some convincing proof to confirm that claim?

And I don't think those systems are related in any way, different developers, different engines. And why wouldn't it drop resolution on the PS4 then? It wasn't locked 60fps, not even close.

I actually start to believe misterxmedia, what he said starts making sense. I wouldn't be surprised if by the holidays PS4 will be 720p to keep up with the superior Xbone versions. Time will prove him right, I feel it.
