Don't know whether you wanted to prove him right or wrong, but we have actual 8 minute preview footage on many sites. And the actually doesn't look very impressive, especially texture quality, but I blame cross gen not Xbone for that.

We just posted the story about Wolfenstein: The New Order running 1080p/60FPS on the PS4, and, as promised I emailed a rep about the Xbox One version of the game.

Angela Ramsey a PR rep of Bethesda Studios has confirmed to OnlySP that, “the Xbox One version of Wolfenstein will run at 1080p/60 fps.”
Previously we could only confirm that the PS4 version would do so. So there you have it, both version will have the same specifications which means we can all get along now. I’ve also responded asking to confirm the 15-20 hour playtime quote and will update this story when we have a response.

Good sleuthing. I'm very curious if this game will be cool. I'm so tempted to preorder for that DOOM beta. This game looks crazy! If you could have showed this game to Carmack and Romero back in the day, when they were working on the first one, it might have blown their minds.

I'm getting it on PC, so this news doesn't affect me either way. But good news for those who have an Xbox One and want this game.

Gameplay is all that matters. 720p is good enough. No one is going to notice the difference. 1080p is overkill. Waste of resources. Piss poor development.

1080p/60fps isn't necessarily a sign of "piss poor development."
