Forums - Sony - You guys see any chance of Nobunaga's Ambition coming to the U.S.?

I'd like to play RotK12 and Nobunaga's Ambition Create but I doubt it'll happen. Last game they've released in the west for either series they've released other than the Pokemon game was for the PS2.

Really disappointing that the Koei side of Tecmo Koei releases nothing but Musou garbage anymore.

Speak for yourself! Lol. I love DW and would be destroyed if it stopped coming west.

Only the Pokemon version I believe ever made it.

Pokemon version?

Is it based on the RotTK formula? Is it good? If so I will buy it tomorrow to play on my GFs DS. (not a big fan of Pokemon though)

I thought Ken's Rage was the best Musou game they've released.  It had button mashing with a finisher at the end, but it had double finishers and timed combos within each combo.  It also had an actual level design that followed the story.  Was still your average Musou title even if a bit deeper than the others in terms of development and after finishing the game with Kenshiro, sold the game.

Though ... what does Nobunaga have to do with Romance of the Three Kingdoms?

My girlfriend loved it and completed it - I'll ask her to post some impressions tomorrow

Thanks, looking for a (console) strategy fix right now

Never played (or heard of) that one. What platform is it for? I am looking forward to Hyrule Warriors :) lol

PS3 and 360.  Ken's Rage 2 is on both as well, physical copy on 360 only in the US, but Europe has a physical copy on PS3 and 360.

Never played the second one and some people like it since Ken moves a lot faster and characters have a much wider range of attack rather than close up, but the level designs look a lot worse.

I got it because I was a fan of the anime series.  Thought maybe I could get around the whole Musou thing because of that since it was a little better and got it for so cheap.  I bought it for $10, should have kept it since I sold it for the same amount.

Well, basically, transcribing most of what she said...

1) Good for Disgaea and Devil Survivor fans, mechanics are pretty similar in the turn based nature and field effects. You'll have different aims in battle, ranging from knocking everyone out, to capturing objectives and so on. (ask me anything about Disgaea if you don't know it well yourself!)

2) Short story mode, lots of interesting side content - that's where the challenge lies.

3) The out of battle mechanics are simple. On the world map you choose what to attack, where to go, and so on. Like in most other SRPG's, that's where the stores and so on are.

4) She said that if you don't like "cute Pokémon", you shouldn't really bother. But I saw the general mechanics, and they are solid, and Pokémon are well entwined into them. Maybe you'll get to like Pokémon after it :3

edit: she posted right below me :P

I dunno about RotTK formula since I haven't played those games, but Pokemon Conquest is a turn based JRPG. I do not recommend it if you really do not care about Pokemon. The battle system is similar to Disgaea and Devil Survivor.

EDIT

Seems that Xen made it first.
