I would say Sony just above Nintendo, as they are the only ones who I trust to continue making exclusives and new IPs for the entire generation.

You do realize that Nintendo makes a shitload of new IP every gen?
People just dont know so they dont buy and Nintendo is not the "i have to generate hype" type of company.

I love Nintendo games but they just don't come in enough volume for me to survive only on them. I have Smash, SMG1&2, Zelda SS, and some classics on Wii but I have kept (and I only keep my very favorite games that I go back to replay at LEAST once a year so these are pretty much my classics and that includes those Wii games) GoW3 and Ascension, Uncharted 1-3, Infamous 1-2, Ratchet FToD, Q4B, Nexus, and ACiT, Resistance 3, LBP2, Journey, Flower, Infamous FoB, Puppeteer, Sly 4, LoU, Twisted Metal, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few but you probably see that there's just more to keep me entertained on PS3. Not to mention I prefer HD remakes over getting games on VC so past first party stuff is also going to be preferable on Sony platforms.

I reiterate that I would HATE to choose because I LOVE Nintendo games, but in the end Sony just gives me more which is why I buy their consoles earlier in the lifecycle and end up getting more software. Hell over half my PS3 library (PS+ games not included) is 1st party. Nintendo is all first party but it's only about 10 games this gen.

Examples?  The only 'new' exclusive IP on Wii U so far that I can think of is Lego City Undercover and Wonderful 101, neither which are made by Nintendo, which makes them second party.  There are no Wii U exclusives that are new IPs coming up that I can think of.  If you are talking about last generation on Wii, then it had stuff like Wii Fit and Wii Sports but not much else first party that was new.  And like i said in my original comment, they were both early in Wii's life, and then the new IP stopped.

i like to try new stuff and diversity so i choose ps4 over the wii u in this scenario

Probably WiiU.

This is a tough one for me. I've always enjoyed Nintendo's 1st party games but Sony has impressed me in recent years.

So just by a hair, I would go with the PS4.

The PS4 without doubt. World Wide Studios has diversity and they have the courage to try new things. They make high-quality, AAA titles, they make fun $40 titles, and they make excellent download-only games.

The XO would be next. Microsoft has really stepped up their game.

The Wii U would be last. Waiting for Zelda and Metroid would be really hard. One platformer a year is all I need of that genre.

Wii U, PS4 (love Sony but the first-party isn't as great to me), and then Xbox waaaaaaay down there. Sorry but no ****s given for Xbox's 1st-party games from me lol

p.s. current gen

Sony, because they show that they are willing to take risks by making a new IP, while they could just take the easy route. Prime example is The Last of Us. The 2nd studio could have taken the save route and just make a Jak and Daxter or even an Uncharted to close the PS3, but instead they took every risk they could and went with a brand new IP.
