I'd also recommend that you get ZombiU, just don't play it on your own and in the dark unless you have clean underwear handy lol

I'm such a wuss that I put off buying that game for a year because I couldn't even make it 15 minutes into the demo without getting scared and shutting it off. I got it now, but I'm only going to play it when my gf is on the couch with me. Man, I'm such a pussy.

Sounds like my experience with the demo.  I mean I love a good scary game but goddam,  That game didn't let up.  I was scared to do anything. I don't even want the game anymore!

One good thing about owning both the PS4 and Wii U--the included PS4 headset works great on the Wii U! Tried it on CoD:BO2 today and had a blast. Meanwhile my Turtle Beach PX21 headset should work just fine on the PS4. Win/Win situation!

I worry that NSMB U will disappoint you. Be sure to post your impressions. It really does just feel like the Wii game in HD. Whenever you can, get your hands on DKC:TF. I always liked Mario more than Donkey Kong but Tropical Freeze is easily a superior experience.

I also have NSLU. Haven't even unwrapped it, yet.

Well I've not played the Wii game, only the DS one, never played the second either... so I reckon I'll enjoy it, although it'd be better if I had a second controller so my brother can play or something, maybe later on though :P

As I've said, I'm not a fan of Donkey Kong... but since everyome is telling me to get it, maybe I'll cave in and get it sooner rather than later/not at all...

Well, if you skipped NSM Wii, and NSMB2, then you may be in for a treat!

So good to hear that you're enjoying your Wii U! I still wasn't really satisfied with it before DK came out the other day... TWW was good but like every other Zelda game, to me I have to play through them and then wait half a year or so before I really start to appreciate them... It's almost time for me to replay it. And yeah, even though it's a 10 year old game with upgraded textures, resolution and shaders, it looks just fantastic. Polygon count is low, but it doesn't matter as much (even though a full polygon remake would be MIND BLOWING!)

At least buying a Wii U is completely justifiable by now, when I bought it in December '12 it wasn't really.

Yep.

If you haven't played the NSMB games after the one on DS, I think you'll really like the Wii U one since it's the best so far, but too much alike the Wii and 3DS ones. The original DS game feels a little buggy in comparison now, the Wii, 3DS and Wii U games has much better physics.

But yeah if you haven't played them since DS you will like NSMBU and especially NSLU. Luigi U is the better game because of modded physics and more playful level design.

About DK Tropical Freeze... I'll also tell you to get it, it's my absolute favorite Wii U game so far. Cave in and buy it! =D

A great thing about Tropical Freeze for me, is the soundtrack... <3  Even if you're not a huge fan of video game music in general, you will notice how much better Tropical Freeze is than 99 % of all other game soundtracks... Made by a great composer, not the usual Nintendo composers (even though they're usually great)

Yep.

Wait until you have to go in the nursery, i shat myself big time, its probably one of the most scary and intense set pieces i have ever experienced in my gaming life.

LOL i hid in an air vent for about 20 minutes in the nusery.

Well damn guys, now I don't feel like such a punk! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who wanted to go sit in a corner and cry like a little girl!

Good to see that you´re glad with your purchase

That´s the spirit. Get a console and enjoy the good things it has to offer.

This industry needs more consumers like you. It´s a shame that people prefer to spread hate instead of love for videogames.

... So I played the demo for ZombiU, and found it EXTREMELY boring and generic, I mean, I like the idea they were going for with the gamepad, but it felt more annoying and in the way than "innovative" or whatever... and it wasn't scary whatsoever, even when that zombie popped up off the floor and screamed really loud in my face, I had a feeling it was going to happen anyway and it didn't make me jump or scare in any way whatsoever...

tl;dr definitely a no buy for me, I was VERY disappointed.

PS. It also had the terrible British voice acting like I said it would! (Why is it hard to find a game with GOOD British voices?!)

Apparently, you're Batman.

They all come from Birmingham?

To be serious I think the console is shaping up and could see myself enjoying it far more than the Wii and more like the Gamecube once I get it in the next year.  Already have a half dozen games interested in on it.  Glad you are enjoying your experience.
