Just a heads up if you're looking for a cheap Wii U, Best Buy in Canada is clearing out the white Skylanders Wii U bundle for $239.99 (regular $299.99).
It's in-store only though not online, but at least at the store I was in they had plenty of stock.
I might just get a Wii U now, if I can find some money to spend. That's a great price.
Mind you the Skylanders bundle is the 8GB Wii U ... but if you don't buy games from the eShop or were planning on using a bigger HDD for the Wii U anyway, then I'd go for it.
It's this bundle. White Wii U. It includes NINTENDO LAND + Skylanders starter pack (forgot about Nintendo Land!). That's a pretty sweet deal actually. I'd trade out the Skylanders for $30 trade in value and buy DKC: Tropical Freeze + Mario 3D World + $19.99 Zombi U or clearance Wonderful 101 if you can find it.
There's another deal going on here in Canada at Target (until Feb. 27th) $30 gift card when you purchase the Mario & Luigi bundle, Deluxe Black bundle, or Wind Waker Bundle.

Don't forget that it is the 8gig flashdrive bundle and not the 32 gig (still rediculous but definately better).
