My bet's on that. This is a crazy prediction for someone in his position to make. Assuming Japan does 300k, his lowest prediction, that's 400k for the rest of the world in the 7 weeks since Sony's 5.3 million figure. That'd be about 60k a week on average. With infamous coming out and the fact it stayed around 140k a week the past month, that's just not happening. Since his numbers are so crazy in the west, he must have been misquoted for his Japan numbers too.

I expect 300-500k units will be sold possibly in the first week, and definately the second week in Japan.

This seems too low, unless it is expected for Sony to ship very little worldwide for the rest of the FY. Imo, Japan will open with about 350k first week. With about 700k ending March. Sold or shipped.
