I think 350-400k would see the console off to a great start.

While it will definitely have a higher opening week, I don't think the PS4 will pass the PS3 lifetime. I'd say 5-6m tops.

Christmas isn't merely off or on you fucking retard, Christmas has variations all over the world. Japan is no exception.

Christmas in Japan is more of a romantic matter than anything, but sales are still higher during it than any other time of the year and Media Creates reflects that every single year in terms of hardware no matter the software (though just like in the US and Europe, many big releases are still targeted for the holidays as there's more cash being thrown around).

I am guessing 500K+ first day unless there have been manufacturing issues. Next week should drop into the high 100K, and then tapper off to a steady 30K+ for sometime.
