First of all I want to admit that I love sony consoles. But this doesnt mean that I dont like microsoft's system or nintendo's system.

Both xbox one and wii u have "something" that turns many people off. And what if they got rid off those "somethings".  Which one will you get?

This thread only focuses on xbox one and wii u. Please dont put ps4 or 3ds here. Thank you.

Which system is more appealing?

1. Kinect-less Xbox One (preferably at $399).

2. Tablet-less Wii U with pro controller (preferably at $299).

obviously the kinectless Xbox One, the WiiU gamepad is what makes the WiiU, well, the WiiU. Kinect can be easily unplugged from the Xbox One and nothing really changes.

I'd say the X1. The Wii U tablet is kinda essential for some of the core games and they would have to patch those functions into the game when releasing a Wii U without tablet.

Xbox One without the Kinect makes more sense cause it would make the system much more appealing without much compromises... Take out the gamepad on the wiiU and you are left with only a weak hardware with no justification on buying the console apart from Nintendo games... Sure you can say that for its current sitution now but there are some advantages of having the gamepad such as zero latency, off tv display, ir blaster and etc

A Wii U without a tablet with it is basically an expensive xbox 360 with less games... Obviously the Xbox One is the more appealing choice

I'd say Wii U with tablet is better than both of those options...also, Wii U is already at the price you said would be preferable. In fact, you can get it for around 250$ if you look for sales.

So if they remove the kenict how much woukd they be able to drop the pirce?

Depends on the Price.

A tablet-less Wii U for 200 euros... sign me up for that. Not that i have anything against the gamepad. I'm only picky with the price.

The whole reason I've been proposing that Nintendo offer a WiiU SKU without the Gamepad is (along with Ninty turning a profit) to make the price more appealing. A WiiU with just a pro controller for the same $299 price would be a rip-off by comparison. Definitely should be $199 for that package or $249 if bundled with a DKC, MK8 or Smash.
