Hey guys I need your help

A friend of mine wants to borrow all my God of War games

Since I have 

God of War Collection
God of War Origins collection 
God of War 3
God of War Ancension

= All games released on PS3

Where should he start?

Play the games as they were released?
1 -> 2 -> Chains of Olympus -> 3 ->Ghosts of Sparts -> Ancension ?
(to prevent potential dips in quality because the devs got better?/made better games that fixed annoying gamplay elements?)

or

Play in timeline order?
Ancension -> Chains of Olympus -> 1 -> Ghosts of Sparta -> 2 -> 3 ?
(to better understand the story?)

Or any other order like  worst graphics -> best graphics? or whatever?
(so he wont get used to good graphics and then stops when he suddenly plays a PSP game?lol)

I would not let him play Ascension first, watch him get turned off from the series and not play the rest :P.  The other they were released seems best.

Play first... first.

All others have a press X to move faster on ropes (or whatever). In the first it just causes you to jump off and you fall to your death

Better to make him play it in the order they where released. The plot is hardly interesting in those games.

1-3 and then the Origins Collection

Just stay the fuck away from Ascension -.-

lET HIM PLAY TEH REMAKE OF GOD OF WAR 1 AND 2 ,, THEN 3 then the psp remakes then ascension. Thats the order i would suggest

I tried but I still don't understand your post.

Collection -> GOW3 -> Origins -> Ascension would be fine.

1, 2, 3, CoO, GoS, GOW:A

Sometimes the game requires you to travel across a rope hand over hand. In all God Of Wars except Gow1, you press X and krastos moves faster for a second. You keep pressing X and he keeps moving faster

But in GoW 1 he just jumps off. and you die
