Wii U will flourish regardless of Xone's (lack of) success.

Look at what I said again and point out a word I said that devs havent been talking about. Alsoyou might want to look up the sales of Nintendo when Sony was on top before MS came. Who took the third party title exclusivity from Sony? Not Nintendo...it was Microsoft. Nintendo because of their ignorance remain in the same position with third parties that they've been in for years.

Because it's done a fantastic job of that in its first 15 months hasn't it .... WiiU isn't going to flourish.
Love the denial on some people. The X1 has the advantage of 3rd party support and its selling almost as bad as the Wii U. Great position of power that is...
The failure of the X1 can only be measured with the exit from the market. If that doesnt happen, i have no idea what Microsoft would do with it. And that exit would definitly benefit the Wii U.
But ofc, this is all conjecture at this point. If X1 stick around despite losses, the Wii U wont see any meaningful benefits.

Except it isn't. Not really.
US: XB1 is selling 2.5 x WiiU
Europe: Who knows? We know XB1 outsold WiiU LTD in less than 2 weeks ...
Elsewhere: isn't released yet.
Japan is basically the only reason WiiU is doing well in alligned launch. But that soon crumbled which means comparing March to March (when it comes) will be vastly in XB1 favour.
FYI Gaming division at MS made a profit last Q, Nintendo are making the loss here ...
Where is the denial coming from exactly?

The X1 sold 3.6m during christmas, the Wii U did 3 million. Both have slowed down substancially since. The weekly difference is less than 20k weekly, but X1 is in its first year.
Both will have losses Seece, dont lie to yourself. The difference is what will each of the companies do about it. We know that Microsoft has a new leadership and its a company that wants big profits.
We know Nintendo is a bit slower on the uptake and wont exit the market easily cause its their main business. Also Nintendo's loss is conjecture cause their final result is positive. They have an operating deficit wich seems to have been made by overordering Wii U units due to the overly optimistic sales predictions. That wont be there next year. Nintendo has a very strong software performance that microsoft doesnt (cause they make less games aswell).

XB1 sold 3m through christmas, shipped 3.9m. WiiU sold 2.2m, shipped 3.45m. Those are the figures.
MS have said they're making a small profit on XB1, Nintendo have said they're losing with WiiU. MS already gets big profits .... As long as the devices division is profiting (it is) it's fine ....
XB1 is doing 2.5 WiiU in the important markets (where sales sustain).

Face the reality seece. The X1 is faltering. Weekly sales are close to Wii U levels on its first year. The system is overpriced. Cant you add two and two?
What happens now Seece? Does Microsoft sit on these faultering numbers or do they do something about it?
Scenario 1: No price drop. The system keeps sinking. The division sees minimal profits, investors not pleased.
Scenario 2: Price cuts, X1 recovers in sales, Microsoft takes losses. Investors not pleased.
Out of those 2 scenarios: Investors not pleased. Microsoft is a company that wins, big profits are a must. Solution? Sell the division. Its incredibly likely at this point. The question is if theres a buyer.

I didn't say XB1 isn't faltering, it clearly is. Unlike WIiU though there is genuine hope for it if MS take the right measures, why? Because they have a target audience and third party on board, two very very important things.
Xbox has been going for 10 years now, original xbox saw billions in losses, early 360 days too. Why are you so obsessed with what investors think? Since when have MS listened to them? The Xbox division isn't losing billions anymore, it's making hundreds of millions. A $100 price cut isn't going to be catastrophic ...
