It is an interesting fact to consider that the gap between the PS3 and 360 is comparable to the gap between the PS3 and the wii.
By this logic, you could deduce that the 360 has just as large of a chance of catching the PS3, (in weekly sales in Others) that the PS3 has of catching the wii.
very interesting that the the 3 consoles are separated by differences of approx. 30k.
It makes me wonder for the first time, if the PS3 actually stands a chance of competing with the wii in the future, (if increasing sales trends continue for the PS3).
What will Microsoft do? , they better consider jumping the gun next gen, like they did with this one.

Basically, Sony and MS will be close in the first quarter because of the 360 shortage. MS will win out in the 2nd quarter because of GTA4 and better system availability. Then I think Sony will take the 3rd quarter with the release of MGS4. The 4th quarter is where things will get tricky. It'll all depends on whether or not Sony gets down to the $300 price point and the big 1st party titles actually release. Resistance 2 will definitely come out because Insomniac never misses a deadline. The question is whether or not GT5 (and Killzone2 to some extent) make it in time. LittleBigPlanet and a Team Ico game would be great niche titles, but ultimately GT5 and Resistance2 have the real ability to be huge mass market sellers. Fable 2 and Alan Wake will probably be great games, but I don't think they have mass appeal of GT5 and Resistance2. Gears 2 on the other hand would undoubtedly be huge. |
I understand but sequals such as Gears are not going to bring in huge numbers since there is already a gears out on the 360. But for sony games like GT5 and MGS4 and such will bring in HUGE numbers because they are the first to appear on the PS3. I myself am waiting for FFXII to release before i buy a PS3, There are some games that interest me now but i will hold off until a game a REALLY want to release.
hahaha that was funny^
I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

Toshiba is holding a press conference at 5pm Tokyo time. Word is they'll admit defeat then and announce they're stopping production of all HD DVD drives and taking back stock from retailers.
All it would take is one price drop for the 360 to remove any gains made by the PS3.
