So...........I honestly couldn't care less abaout Syria. Dictator v mad mussies who are probably just as murderous when they get power. At least the dictator (usually west-supported originally) has a grasp of economics, right?

Turns out, the middle east actually wants us to intervene everywhere but get pissy when we don't predict the outcome. We (Anglo-American oil) don't STEAL oil. We guarantee our own supply which is slightly different. Oil rich nations give it away free domestically, we actually pay for the shit. So we don't steal it but most of the mid-east and some closer to home think we do.  

The guy I was talking to complained how the US has whatever stupid % of the world's wealth whereas they're poor. This is where I had to put my foot down. As an Englishman I have festidiously studied when exactly the USAsians took over the Greatest Empire that ever was, is and shall be (God Save The Queen) and I know you didn't steal it. True, you may have stolen the code, and the land from the natives, or not seen as you won it fair and square when the natives teamed up with the GETEWASB (fuck Rome, stupid Italians).

Anyway, this Syrian chap (half Leb/syrian) who couldn't explain why 13 BRITISH colonies didn't have to steal anything to take over the greatest empire in the blah blah, yeah ........he wanted to know why we don't do a no-fly zone.

I told him the left would get pissy because nofly zone lead to sanction, sanction lead to war, war lead to mussies gettin angry with west, just like Yoda said.

He said I talk bullshit and we're just going to wait until they all kill each other and then come in and steal the oil but at least China will be able to buy our arsses one day.

Can't argue with his prediction but is it a good idea to do no fly zones, regardless of whether it achieves anything militarily. Just for hearts n minds n shit, assuming no loss of life to the good guys, us.

I actually forgive them for thinking we steal oil because over 50% of the US, UK, Oz, Canada think that wealth comes from stealing too.

We might waste less resources now on a no-fly zone, than shit later. No Fly Dronez.

If they train at 100 times earth's gravity and someone kills a friend of theirs, they can become a Super Syrian. I've seen it happen.

Assad never was western-backed, unlike Egypt which moved into "our" corner pretty much as soon as they patched things up with Israel. Syria never got to the table with Israel and remained more closely aligned with the East, which endures to this day.

A very interesting part of Syrian history is that they allied with the West, Egypt, and the Gulf Monarchies against Hussein in 1991.

I would have told him he was correct about the % of stupids in America, only because idiot foreigners like him keep migrating over here.

I say we don't help them, they sure as hell wouldn't help us. And even if we did help they would still find a reason to hate us.

And it's that kind of ungrateful and hostile attitude we willingly import into our countries by the thousands. It makes me angry.
