Idk... isn't it just used for video chat to other wiiU owners? I only found out this thing was used for video chat from wiiU to wiiU around december despite getting the wiiU at launch... Damn it Nintendo, advertise :/

Works great with no headphones, all headphones with or without a mic... works really well.

It needs to be merged with gaming, not as an available video phone... to only Wii U owners.

I have zero need to use it as a Wii U only phone for a couple reasons.
1) Not enough people own a damn Wii U.
2) Who the fuck wouldn't just use their phone?

The only way this would be useful right now is for people living in different countries... if it even works like that. Then its a free international call, which is even better than the far more useful skype but not as useful as Google Hangouts.

I use it with my son to look together on a popular TV-show. There are some lag on his side (I have the slower connection). We don not use the sound as this becomes disturbing when you overhear the TV. Instead we use it as a co-op scribbleboard where we can write down comments about the acts in the show.
To have a conversation is a little strang as you see the other person at funny angels and with close-ups of parts of the face, as you do not controll very well how you look even if there is a small picture-in-picture of youself.

None of my friends own a Wii U.

And I have no friends, so no, never used it.

We have played RE:revelations, but it was not the best experiance as the conversation breaks when the game ends.

We had some connection issues in the beginning, somthing with the router on my sons side.

Almost all of the online games have a voice chat option.

CODs... Trine2 (my kids love this)... etc.

I used it on launch day to call my brother who also got it at launch... Havent used it since...
