And why are you posting PC footage of The Witcher 3!? Come on now... About the poll results, I guess it's safe to say that there are a larger number of people who agree that the Wii U just isn't as weak as "hardcore gamers" and the media want to make it out to be. Also, I still see people who missed something I stated earlier: why is it that only the PS4/XBox1 will get "so much better" with time, but the Wii U won't? That sounds pretty biased, because I'm sure that, while Nintendo is behind in terms of HD development, we're going to see an increase in what the Wii U can do as well. As I said before, we won't see it from 3rd parties, because the Wii U is an afterthought, so it's up to ONLY Nintendo to really push the system, and they're already starting to pick up the pace (SM3DW is a graphical achievement for Nintendo, anyone who owns it can see this, and so does Eurogamer!). The hurricane that will occur at E3 with the Zelda reveal is going to be all kinds of popcorn munching time, lol |
It's just that the PS4 and the X1 has tons of memory to work with. Going from the G70/R520 to the HD 5000 wasn't exactly what I'd call a big leap in architectural efficiency ... DX11 features suffered alot in evergreen series GPUs where it's weaknesses were Tessellation and Compute was poorly handled. While southern islands GPUs is still very mediocre in tessellation it is still worlds better than what evergreens tessellation engine was capable of and it shows especially in the heaven benchmark. Another good tool for the GCN GPUs were partially resident textures where it gives very fine and coarse control of mip mapping on the tiled textures and this helps save a ton of bandwidth and texture fillrate.

Hahaha
