Forums - Gaming - Nordic Games to release Darksiders, Red Faction compilations

I just could not get into Darksiders. It did not appeal to me. I know a lot of people did like it, though, so hopefully the series can continue at some point.

The only Red Faction game I've played was Guerrilla, which I did not like, so I've always ignored the series. Maybe I should look into the standard entries if they're different?

Well, this is interesting--

"Update: Nordic told Eurogamer there are no set release dates for the collections as yet. Instead, it's looking at a Q2 2014 window. Also, the Red Faction Collection isn't coming to Xbox 360.

""This is because according to Microsoft, the Collection did not comply with some of their guidelines for such a pack," Nordic told Eurogamer."

Too much value for $? What kind of guideline could it be, otherwise?

Everyone should get this on PC instead of console, but still...

What stuck out to me as well, wonder what those guidelines are.

Red Faction 2 was a really really good game. That's a big selling point to go PC on that one.  Got to be totally honest I didn't like Darksiders at all, but I LOVED Darksiders 2.  It was so much more fun and overall had better design.

Well at least this gives a little bit of hope for Darksiders 3. Really good franchise that has a lot of potential.

Yeah... but Nordic games doesnt exactly make the best games and they didnt buy Vigil... so, its difficult to get excited about that prospect. They would have to reunite the bulk of the vigil team, wich seems unlikely.

Of course, there the remote chance that they do make it by themselves and it turns out good. I just dont have my fingers crossed. I will be playing DS2 as the last in the series.

Well I heard (Allot of Vigil went to Crytek USA) They said that they will be happy to work with Nordic on Darksiders 3 so hopefuly they will just work together, Nordic giving them the Ip to that team for them to create it, Nordic aren't really developers I don't think and mainly publishers so they will publish while Cyrtek USA develop the game (Hopefully)

I'm sure Crytek USA was made after Vigil got sold off also and hired something like 30 employees from Vigil? Nordic have looked into working with Cyrtek USA also

That would totally work for me. Fingers crossed. I wonder if it would fit Crytek's interests though. ^^
