Doesn't matter. Even 120GB is worth it.
If you do have a free choice, Intel or Samsung for reliability.

I suggest looking at these five and tell me how you feel about them:

I believe all of them carry 1 year accidental damage warrenty from Asus for free and a 2 year standard warrenty on top of that and majority of the have an ssd + hard drive combo.. Also, I friend has the first one and he says it feels soo damn good!!! Also, never get a Mac, their hardware is so bad for price by comparasion and they are also good for gaming... Not gonna max out crysis but it will max out a lot of games

it is Not worth the price, You are paying for a name not for worth. Though this is just my opinion .
In all seriousness though go for a Asus(had one for 5 years and never had any trouble with it) or Lenovo those 2 are the best in my book. But try and stay away from HP, Dell, and Toshiba I have had all 3 of those brands and had huge problems with them hardware wise (such as them breaking after a year). Up to you OP but I would also say give Acer another chance as they are that bad but not the best, still just give them a look also.

Agreed! You never go with a Macbook unless you have tons of disposible income and love to buy the worst things in the world... Seriously...

Well, I'd rather have a desktop for video gaming as I'm saving up for one. As for laptops, this one looks nice for $1500:

4th generation i7 mobile, nVidia 765M graphics, 2 TB of storage and 16 GB of RAM. Only flaw is the display is HD+.

I dont mind if it doesnt play the latest gen games at ultra settings. As for desktop suggestions I have one already for gaming plus I plan to build one in the future with better specs for current gen gaming :P. |
Its pretty good, Although I don't like the fact that there is no ssd which is a bit of a shamee... But apart from that, its fairly good
Also, I love how it doesn't say anything about the resolution of the screen apart from HD LED... Oh bestbuy, there is a reason that you are the worst computer store ever... But it is fairly good none the less...

I have a Lenovo and its been pretty dependable so far. It performs pretty well, price was reasonable, and it looks great.
Edit: Its a Y510P just in case you were interested in the model.
Because you're also buying this for work & school I would suggest testing typing on the keyboard since I've found some newer laptops have odd placements and quirks when typing.

That's sound advice, a keyboard fit for gaming is more often than not rather unsuited for long bouts of writing, and vice versa.
