OK I want out in the boat thinking that DKC: TF will sell a million atleast. (After seeing that atrocious opening in japan I want to reconsider.)

2 things about pre-orders on VGC:

1) They are known to be extremely bad...and I mean BAD...games having 200k pre-orders and end up with 50k sales first week. Same has happened the other way around.

2) The above is most present on Nintendo games for a weird reason. Maybe because the Nintendo fanbase doesn't pre-order games much.

But in any case, DKC: TF pre-order numbers are 91k in the U.S with 2 weeks before launch.

90K pre orders for a fanbase that is not known to pre order means that it's probably overcounted ...

Like I said, it can happened the other way around. I remember Skyward Sword having around 200k pre-orders on VGC and the U.S first week sales were 600k.

True but DKC isn't exactly meant for the "hardcore" nintendo fans like zelda ...

Depends on how you define hardcode. DKC is infinitely harder to beat than any Zelda game.
