Nope. Never. Gamers have spoken. All we want are analog controllers on TVs. No virtual reality, no motion controls, no nothing. Better images. That's it.

Occulus Rift and Kinect ?

I'm already putting a group together to reject that device as soon as it's released.  We don't like Kinect, Wii U Pads, Wii Remotes, 3D glasses, Playstation Move, Power Gloves, Guitar Hero, or anything.  Even if its a success, we will shun that "gimmick".  Better frame rates.  Higher resolution.  That's all we allow.  We fear change.

So says the mainstream gamer.

I think VR will take off, its getting nothing but love in the PC space and genuinely adds to the emersion/enjoyment of games accross multiple genres. An affordable price and widespread support (which its already gaining in main stream and indie games) is all it needs. One of the big three pushing it in a meaningful way to gamers would help. No one had problems with the Wiimote and nunchuck, we did have problems with how it was implemented in games and the Wiis other hardware capabilities, or lack thereof. Kinect is great but on its own feels incomplete, it has limited use. Kinect + VR = win.  Everything else you listed would come off as a gimmick to most mainstream gamers, they haven't done anything game changing.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I think Dynamic Music would be something that more devs should focus on. sure it may not be 2D to 3D, but it is really cool to have, Killer Instinct for example seems to be the only game in recent times that did it right.

Occulus Rift

They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

Virtual Reality will not have mainstream success for many years yet. I have doubts to if it ever will due to it being pretty much pointless.

Wish Sony was not wasting time and resources making their own.

Problem with VR is it restricts someone else from watching you play, no?

virtual reality first
mind control later

Virtual reality. But not that Oculus Rift imitation. Actual projection onto the optic nerve and other senses.

holographic, but it wont be the gaming industry that pushes forward the technology =P

It won't be through just graphical improvement like 2D to 3D was. I can see Virtual Reality tech being the next thing that really shakes things up.
