What in your opinion is the root of the problem of third party games selling notably worse on Nintendo consoles then? And mind you, as is shown in the article this happened on the GC as well, so the "inferior port" argument, doesn't explain it.

Like what third party games on GC that was the same across all platforms? I seriously do not know cause I never liked the GC anyway.

The Article in the OP gives some examples.

Sarcastic answer to a sarcastic question, buddy.

My sarcasm meter must've been broken, because I didn't pick up on that at all!

OT: I guess I should actually say something about the OP. But, DevilRising has already said it pretty well. Every company has their worst fanboy or just plain fan. Every company has groups of people that will defend them even if they kill a kitty. Cherrypicking and targeting one fanbase is never a great idea.

Imo the problem of nintendo is that they don't have enough fanboys

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Sigh. Another blame the consumer article. I own every Nintendo console. I own a lot of third party games on each one. I do buy Zelda every iteration because I love the series. I own very few Mario, Kirby, or Pokemon games, but I love stuff like S&P, Wonderful 101, and I will be front-and-center with Bayo 2, having enjoyed the first game. My Gamecube was proud home of Tales of Symphonia, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Soulcalibur 2, and many other games I can't mention. Even on handhelds, I own a lot of third-party games alongside the Nintendo stuff. I also own every Sony console except the Vita, and the Xbox 360.

The problem is, Nintendo really does come out on top, nine times out of ten. Why would I want to buy the latest annual EAActiUbi crap when I could spend my money on games I will enjoy far more? It's not my job to give money to EAActiUbi just because they put out games. It's their job to make me feel that they are a worthwhile purchase. They're not going to make me feel it with the latest annual Battlefield of Duty Creed, they're not going to make me feel it when their games are so locked down with DRM it's ridiculous, and certainly not when it's a half-assed port on a Nintendo console like so many of their games have been of late. I don't even buy that garbage on PS3/PS4.

There you go, you are not part of the group that he mentions on his article, but if you ask around you will find that A LOT of the Nintendo Fanboys only buy Nintendo games, not many, but ONLY, give any reason that they want, quality not up to standards, missing features that they will not use anyway, graphical bugs, etc. They don't even give them a chance, a that is just plain wrong.

Really? Nintendo fans bought these third party games on the Wii? Nintendo fans bought Just Dance? No, the casuals bought those games, not the Nintendo fans, those casuals that now have zero interest in the Wii U.

So what you're saying is that it was Nintendos fault that they couldn't get non Nintendo fans on board with the GC to buy third party games?

It's funny how you treat casual gamers as people who can't be Nintendo fans. They all have one thing in common though, they are all customers.

Yes it was Nintendo's fault, if people aren't buying the Wii U  is not the consumer who is wrong, it's Nintendo and it's approach with the system that is at fault.

They certainly aren't fans if they bought one system, a couple games and then after a couple years all collectively jumped ship, so no the casuals that bought the Wii and are now gone are not Nintendo fans and the article is most definitely not talking about those people.

And for the bolded part, yes I agree, but that is not what the article is about, at least not directly, it's about people that bought for example the Wii U not buying third party games and thus making the Wii U lose third party support. And to say it's Nintendos fault that third games on the Wii U aren't selling is ridiculous cause in this case Nintendo certainly hasn't, as Sethnintendo called it, released too many damn good games for it.

You know that there is nothing wrong with the number of sales those games got on the GC right?

Considering that the ps2 sold about 7x the amount of the GC the sales are about on point just do the math and it's not that hard to see.

The Xbox does not factor in because it hardly had any big exclusive games to begin with, all I can remember were halo and ninja gaiden, so you were pretty much stuck with 3rd party games, and the ps2 had a whole heap of exculsives for it (albeit mostly 3rd party). You get my point right? I really don't want to have to explain it any further.

So again whats the problem here?

It seems to be the same guy who wrote the article!

I certainly need to thank him, he was a great inspiration for this quality thread.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

"I think if your primary arguments are “hardware power, who is more powerful, etc,” you’re an idiot if you buy or game on anything other than PC.  Hardware power does not define video games, and if you think that, then the last place you should be playing games is on a console—which is technically obsolete up to a year before it even releases"

Probably the most logical statement in the entire article.

"Well, I no longer think the Nintendo fanboys are the worst in the industry.  I do think Nintendo still receives the worst haters, but the worst fanboys are the XBO fanboys now (congrats guys!)."

After reading this statement, it's safe to assume that he  hasn't met "some" of the Sony fans on VGC
