That's just silly. Online multiplayer is a service that's delivered over the internet, not the internet itself. No. It's not the same as paying for streaming servises. To you see people on PC paying for online multiplayer? No. Why? Because it's bogus.

Why is it not the same?

With your accountant skills Sony would have profited extra 12B during gen 7 and would be in a nice shape...

And about using the + model (free online but free games) gave Sony 2-3M subscribers on a 80M base or 2.5-4% so for your scheme that would be 100k subscribers giving around 6M in revenue... Quite different than yours scenario.

And? You stated people don't pay for multiplayer on PC, and I said some do. It doesn't matter that the majority don't. The few paying prove that in at least some circumstances it's not bogus.

And? You stated people don't pay for multiplayer on PC, and I said some do. It doesn't matter that the majority don't. The few paying prove that in at least some circumstances it's not bogus.

No. I proves that those people are paying for a bogus service. It's not the same because there is a free and legal alternative in the first place. There is no legal way to stream Netflix for free. And paying for porn is just as bogus, btw.

we are using the assumption that Nintendo would be giving away games with thier subscription ...This is nintendo they are always at least 2 steps behind.
