Forums - Gaming - PCSX2 Emulation & Games

So i've been wondering how to make use of this program. There is a video on YouTube which displays how to install it and all, but it's not that clear a couple of minutes into the video, particularly the BIOS part.

Is there an easier way to do this? Does anyone here use that emulator and do you know of a good forum, not the official one on the PCSX2 website, but one that fully explains what you need to do to make it fully workable.

Thanks in adavnce for any help :)

You need a BIOS file from the internets and then download it and put it in the BIOS folder... The reason why PCSX2 doesn't include it is cause it is illegal to do so... You also need the most recent BIOS for games to work properly as well as you need to have the BIOS from the region your games are from... So for example, if you have a NTSC game, you need a bios that is compatible with NTSC region...

I wish that PCSX2 had as much support as dolphin does for the wii... Its a pain in the ass to get it running and it still doesn't run properly even after you get it working... But good luck

And yes, I did use that emulator a long time ago... I also use the wii emulator, snes emulator, psp emulator on my phone and a lot more emulators... I just hate the ps2 emulator

lol thanks.

I mean after you install the latest version of the emulator itself. Can you just find the games for it, from your region, and just begin playing or do you need to do something else?

just make sure the bios file is correct. and you need a controller. And you pc must be a mid-end to emulate some games (like KH2).

yes. Now just download the game (.iso please) and have fun. Also, you always can burn it on a DVD and be happy

You have to configure a few of the settings as well based on your PC

I think that should help you a lot
